Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaDon’t understand why as a guest of the hotel I had to pay $100 for valet parking. I think it unfair to a guest paying for a room to also have to pay the extra $20 just because the Giants had a baseball game. I won’t book a stay at Luma again because of this provision. The plastic flooring in guest room was off- putting.
Enjoyed the convenience of short walk to Oracle Park. Liked the blackout feature of room curtains. Bed was okay, pillows were excellent. Dual he’d shower feature was enjoyed.

United States of AmericaThere is no room service at all. They say there’s robot delivery of pastries and coffee in the morning, however every single time I tried to use it they said it was offline. I think there’s only like one or two robots so not enough to service the whole hotel. That was the biggest bummer for me, otherwise the rooms were nice and clean.
The room was very clean and well equipped. I liked having a steamer to iron my clothes, and the hair dryer had a diffuser which is rare! Very quiet, got great sleep.

New ZealandWe liked everything. The only small thing was not knowing about the electronic "do not desturb/ do not make the room up" button we needed to activate. Our 7 year old left the room in a mess, and we were going to deal with it when we returned as we were late for a ferry ride. When we returned, the room was made up so nicely, and they carefully put the mess back on top of the bed where it was. 😅 We were more embarrassed than anything else. So a note to anyone else, there is a button next to the door to activate if you don't want to be disturbed. It will make the green doorbell outside your room turn red. Not an overall issue at all though.
We stayed here as 2 adults and a 7 year old from Friday to Sunday. We loved the hotel, it was clean and quiet. On the 14th floor, we barely heard any street noise apart from the odd tram. The beds are comfortable, it was clean and the rom is really well blacked out so the morning sun does not really wake you. The shower pressure was the best we experienced in our trip to the USA. It is far away enough from the chaos of fisherman's wharf to have peace and quiet but close enough to via a ride share or an hour long walk along the pier fronts. It is super close to Oracle Park and is right in the middle of the game day atmosphere. We loved our first baseball game and then a 5 minute walk back to the hotel. There is a "supermarket" (Gus's community market)close by, which has a good variety of food friendly staff. Casey's Pizza was a great find, only a 5 minute walk away, they have a really good margarita pizza. I can not speak more highly of the staff. They are friendly and seem like they actually are interested in you and want to help. Everyone greeted us when we arrived or left. On the last day, they held 4 suitcases for us after we checked out. Our flight was that night, but they were more than happy to assist us so we could continue to explore San Francisco. Thank you to the staff at Luma, we had a great stay and would definitely stay there again if we ever come back to SF.

United States of AmericaWe had a low car and the entry and especially exit to the valet was a little steep but if you take the right angle you can clear it safely... just need to be careful and go slow.
Very comfortable bedding, Huge TV for the space and you can stream to it from your device. Daily room tidying if desired. Remote curtains, including blackout for the night. Walkable distance to ballpark and basketball arena. Nice restaurant on the roof, with some tasty margaritas on the happy hour menu. In the mornings order your latte and breakfast burrito to be delivered by one of their 3 robot butlers.

EstoniaMy room was on 11th floor and I heard talking, music from rooftop bar until 1 am but airplugs blocked it so I was not bothered much, you can sleep well. Bed is super, linen as well. Shampoo in the room had finished - they refilled quickly. Fridge does make loud noice in the middle of the night - the fix is that you open the door and close it again which stops the noice. Keycard in the lift needs to be hold on the reader long time. But, these were all minor issues, and did not bother me.
Fabulous hotel! Great service! Room and everything is superclean, new, comfy! Rooftop bar is amazing, great views, life music!. Coffee at downstairs is excellent (not sure why some rate it bad), price is not that bad (large Americano 6.5, regular 4.5). Absolutely loved every second in that hotel and would return! Some downsides: my room was on 11th floor and I heard talking, music from rooftop bar until 1 am but airplugs blocked it so I was not bothered much, you can sleep well. Go to a community grocery store and a wine store-bar (2 min) - they are excellent. My new home in SF for sure.
