Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Cleanest property I’ve ever stayed at! The host was very responsive, organized and reliable. The surrounding area was so quaint! Walking distance to restaurants. Highly recommend.

This townhouse is excellent. Its clean and well stocked. The location is perfect for what we wanted. Lots of restaraunts and bars all along a few blocks. All walkable. Some shopping would be nice. The host was easy to work with. Would definitely love to stay again

Creaky floorboards but it didn’t impact us too much so will not lower the rating.
Excellent location. Spacious - family of 6 had decent personal space and comfort. Noise canceling for drowning out city noise. Games for family. Snacks on arrival. Easy to follow instructions.

Clean and comfortable townhome and proximity to everything in the downtown. The location is amazing. It’s a party area so there will be night time noise but we liked it as we are used to it.

There was a lot of noise with the open air bars late into the night. Great if you’re into that scene, not so great if you’ve got an early morning or a light sleeper. The apartment provided a white noise machine, which I didn’t need to use.
Cleanliness and location was excellent. Coffee shops, lunch and dinner spots were very good.

Be aware: Bedrooms are on 2nd and 3rd floors so you need to be able to manage stairs. There is a pull-out bed in 1st floor living room but only a half-bath.on that level. There is some street noise (hey its an active neighborhood!) but the owner provided bedside sound machines for noise-sensitive guests.
Spacious unit ery well appointed with two massive bedrooms with very comfortable beds, ceiling fans, ensuite bathrooms and large roku tvs. Very nice small kitchen, well-stocked appliance and dishware-wise.. Ground floor entry easy to access from gated courtyard with gated parking only a few steps away. Contactless check-in was a breeze. Property. manager Very friendly and readily accessible by text or phone. We loved the location and had a lot of great meals in easy walking distance.. Easy access to I-65 for road trips.

Being that this was located near many restaurants/bars it did get pretty loud and remained that way till well after midnight. It wasn’t an issue for our family but if one had sleep issues or children, it may not be the place for you. The property did offer a noise machine which I felt was a thoughtful way of them trying to accommodate guests.
This property had a great layout for my family’s needs. It was super clean and was overall a very comfortable place to stay for multiple days. It was in a convenient location, with many shops and restaurants that were within walking distance. Anything that one would typically drive to was still convenient as the main tourist attractions were only a few miles away and drive time was minimal.

Noisy, Beds we’re like sleeping on concrete, one-ply toilet paper (unacceptable) and the smoke alarm in kitchen goes off with any cooking whether it was smoking or not. literally cooking eggs for breakfast set the smoke alarm off constantly.
Location was great, place was clean, kitchen utensils and such were great. overall worth the money.

The parking was an issues because we have a large truck. The car had no problems.
The townhouse was beautiful, beds very comfortable, it was extremely welcoming. The host was very receptive to inquiries.

The no contact check-in and check-out was pretty cool. I'm not a big people person and can get really nervous sometimes so it was a nice. And there was a puzzle in the living room that we stayed up until 2am putting together, it was a lot of fun.
