Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe location is great except for the noise of people coming in and out and going up the stairs by the door near the bed. Also the planes fly overhead all day and night but after awhile you get used to it and you block it out.
Door codes were easy to use and instructions left were clear. The hosts were great, the bed and pillows were incredibly comfy. The place was clean and had pretty much all you needed.

United KingdomThe only thing, I would have liked to have been was higher up than the ground floor, for better views.
The location was really good, and the apartment was lovely, clean, and the main bed was so comfy.

EstoniaWe expected free parking to be included, but it’s at an additional charge. The airport is very close and the planes run over the building, so it gets very loud. Night flights are infrequent so you can still get a relatively good night sleep and air plugs are provided.
The property is close to downtown and the Balboa park. The apartment is very spacious and has all the necessary facilities. The bed was particularly comfortable.

AustraliaYou need to be aware that it was right under the flight path and planes were going over every few minutes. Although parking is advertised as free it is all metered parking. The ‘one bedroom’ is really an alcove so there is no privacy for a family. The shower had very low water pressure. We were on the ground floor (note there is no lift) but the noise between the apartments was concerning, particularly when your neighbours have dogs and they are scratching around on the floor above!!!
Good size apartment with good kitchen facilities, although once the sofa bed was out the living room had no room for a dining table.

United States of AmericaBed was OK - nothing amazing but decent. Since there were apparently 4 units above ours, there were constant footsteps up and down the stairs all night (for the first night). For the second night, it was a bit more quiet but still to be aware of. Cleaning fees are added though maid service is not available - they're just basically tidying up for the next guest and changing your linens and towels. Since parking fees are optional, we were able to pay this fee but it could be discounted further especially for 1 night stays. Airplane noise was a concern and watch out for a few street people nearby.
Location was good - this property is located basically halfway between Downtown (gaslamp) and the San Diego Zoo. it's also across the street from the southwest corner of Balboa Parkso this is 0.4 miles from the West entrance. There are good coffee shops, a couple of cafes/bars within walking distance. And a CVS drugs 1 block away for convenience. I also liked the pet policy so we could bring our critters on vacation. A/C worked well but can't control temp - needed to manually turn off after 30-60 minutes. TV was smallish but worked pretty well and same with Wifi/internet. We liked the full fridge and kitchen which was a plus for multiple nights. Street parking is available for free / low cost but be aware which spaces are metered. And the room fee was reasonable especially through Booking com.

United KingdomIt was quite noisy with people accessing their "tower" at different times of the day and night, although earplugs were provided in the apartment.
We loved this apartment. It was huge, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The location is good and we walked everywhere, except to Old Town which was just too far. We got an Uber there. The bed was very comfortable. We easily found free parking on the road outside, that runs alongside the park.

IsraelThe only reasons I'm giving it only a score of 8 is the sofa bed, which was very uncomfortable, and the airplane noise which was something I wasn't prepared for and would probably have chosen differently if I had known. But other than that the stay was perfect.
The hosts were super nice and accommodating to our every need. The apartment was modern and very clean.

United States of AmericaLots of loud banging at night when people are cleaning or coming in/out of the building. Walls, floor, and ceiling seem to be very thin as we could hear everything the person above us was doing.

United States of AmericaThe sofa bed was a little lumpy but descent enough for a sofa bed. The sofa bed could be cleaner as the edges were quite stained. I would feel safer if there was an extra lock at the back entrance by the bedroom just as the front has. The walls are so thin; we could easily hear people coming in and out early in the a.m. from the shared entrance which woke us up. Though we were not as bothered with the airplanes flying over us as others have mentioned in the review.
I'd like that there was an option for garage parking. The kitchenette was a great feature for the family. And being so close to Balboa Park was great. Although we didn't utilize it, the small outdoor sitting area was a nice feature. CVS across the street was so close and convenient.

United States of Americathe 3 main reasons I didn’t give a 10 was the neighborhood at night feels a bit sketchy- typical for a big California city - my mum and I like to walk and coming back from Gas Lamp at 9 pm with deserted streets was a bit scary but we stuck to 6th and were fine. Parking is free if you can find a spot on 6th, which we did, or metered parking is $2 50/hour, think 8am to 6 pm - got metered the last night and left at 8. The location has parking available for $30/day more if you want it. I had trouble the Roku TV system- next time, I’ll bring a DVD player and plug it in! none of the negatives were deal breakers - still give my overall stay a 9+
great central location- walking distance to zoo, waterfront, close to freeways - beautiful apartment, larger than expected, very clean, stylish furniture, comfy bed, full kitchen, strong shower, little outdoor deck

TaiwanThere was a gap in communication for check in. The host said he texted with the codes and whether we could extend our stay, but I didnt get the messages. The stairs made it difficult to move big luggages into unit. Airplanes above too noisy by the parkside window. Can hear neighboring guests at times.
Inside was very clean, spacious, well equipped. Location easy to find, near Balboa park and airport. Entry was easy once we got codes.

United States of AmericaFew Issues: 1. To enter the apartment you need unlock 3 doors (After hours of travelling i felt very diff) 2. The details given in the email was not accurate (Parking fee, timing the people available for check in) 3. Area is with noise (Every minute you hear landing planes sound) 4. Parking - Very limited parking at the property (available few for +$20 addition to the room price) Over all: I am a booking.com customer for more than 10 years and I never want to recommend this property.
There is no windows/TV in the bedroom, so we felt little quite over there.
