Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

If we were staying longer than a few days then more cutlery and cooking equipment (pans, knives etc) would have been appreciated. Otherwise there was nothing to criticise or comment on negatively!
The Industrial style of this warehouse apartment was really cool and it was well fitted out. Room size was way bigger than expected and the whole apartment was super comfortable. The entrance with key pads rather than keys was OK once you got used to it, and a lot easier than having to meet up to collect a key. We normally stay in hotels for business trips but this was a really good alternative with a lot more space and comfort.

Parking can because challenge.

The entrance is a trashcan. The apartment wasn´t the one in the pictures. With me traveled a blogger and she couldn't make the pictures.

The building isn't insulated at all and our apartment was directly above the entrance so we were constantly hearing the entrance gate slamming and all of the local traffic which made trying to sleep difficult. This must be a known issue because there are ear plugs on the night stands.
Great location across the street from the WWII museum and bus line. Within walking distance to plenty of great restaurants and the Civil War Museum! This was my first trip to New Orleans and I loved it!

It was loud- especially at night. The door in one of the bedrooms opened directly into the 'lobby' and you could hear every clang of the gate and conversation. We might as well have been in the late night parties in other rooms. The person who I assume was the night guard was on his phone until late each night; you could hear everything. I appreciate that there were 'quiet time's signs posted, and people will do as they will. But maybe some sound- baffling in that bedroom door at least?
The location was prime- easier to get to restaurants, attractions, trolley, and the parade. It was very clean, and had all the kitchen items we needed. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of blankets. Towels were plush, and the shampoo/ soap dispenser in the shower was a nice touch. There was plenty of seating for our group.

The location was perfect as we were attending a conference at the Convention Center. The apartment was extremely clean and had all of the amenities that we needed for our stay. The host was very responsive via messaging on the Booking.com app.

The guy who runs the place was really responsive. The coffee machine wasn't working and he was there like a shot with a replacement. We needed to leave our cases on the final day and he sorted that out. All with good humour etc. The apartment was large and well appointed.

Light in bath area was out, shower drained slowly, iron did not work, track lighting worked but did not dim because of mismatched bulbs, a couple small cockroaches in tub. (none of these are major issues)
