The sofa bed was VERY uncomfortable for our 2 children.

Overall a good experience-price was nice, great to be outdoors- but it is camping. Roosters start crowing very early, tent leaked a little in the rain, etc. Glad we stayed there, but we were ready to go after 3 nights.

I went there in the middle of December 2023. Unfortunately, the bathroom hasn’t ready yet. Please come here when the bathroom ready, it’ll be more comfortable :)

I love the big tent and the nature surroundings. The lightings work well during the night. Loved it!

Too many instructions to find the place, The place is not far from Polynesian Cultural centre. Maybe host meet guests and lead them to location for the first time .A sign for the property as a rural farm area and no way to know where it is

The accommodation itself amazing. Owners amazing. Location very hard to find, A sign leading into property would help. Once there a few times, it is not a problem . Property lovely but really muddy if rains. We were also not used to commercial fireworks going off at 1 am but apparently normal at any time of the year. The location geographically 100 percent, Close to pipeline and North Island town, close to great parks and showers. The cost is great compared to Waikiki hotels. Overall experience very good.

Waking up in the middle of a banana trees field was great! The host was very clear in describing how to get there! It would only take a few more lights for those who arrive at night! I loved that place :)

Affordable price for sleeping in a tent next to nature.

Poor illumination inside the tent and there is no charge station for the phone. There weren't any toilets available so you have to go to the beach anytime you need. The mobile reception is very poor which makes it difficult to communicate. You need a good car 4wd or SUV with explorer lights to get there. Hence there is not much light outside if you arrive at night and lot of mud at the entrance. There were red ants which was a bit of a nightmare while sleeping on the bed. No parking lot available so you need to park in front of the tent. The other customers were very noisy after late hours.

The bed was comfy and the tent big enough. Eccentric view of the sky at night time.

It is to expensive for a tent with no restroom and shower. When the price would be lower then I would give 10 out of 10.

The tent was really nice and the place also, we really liked it.

There was no one around when we arrived and we were a bit confused about what to do… After a while of waiting we were able to connect with the owner. There is no electricity, no running water and no toilet. We were told on the phone that the toilets are just across the street, but they are actually about 10 minutes away by foot. I would recommend to put a portable toilet there. They cannot seriously think that people will be walking or driving there each time they need to use the bathroom. We never met the owners or anyone working there. It will be a great place when they get the toilets and showers done, but now we thought that the price for just the tent was quite high. We were glad that we only stayed one night.

The tents are nice, comfortable and large, location also good

Overpriced for what you get. Our tent was disturbingly moldy.

    • Tent
    • Stayed 2 nights

Hosts are indifferent to their guests. Upon arrival it was unclear which tent we were assigned to. The people onsite were not very welcoming. There was no information provided about emergency contacts or things to see in the area. When we did meet the owner - by chance - she didn't introduce herself. We had been told drinking water would be available but owner told us she'd forgotten to charge battery to electric pump. Chuckled at her own forgetfulness completely oblivious to the inconvenience this might cause. 24 hours later it was still non-functional. Nobody took the trash out which drew insects. Interior of our tent was moldy. We overheard the owner telling her friends the canvas material was only a few months old. There are vents that can be opened on the sides (although we were never told how they worked). They tell guests to keep them closed which may be a reason why so much mold has grown so quickly. It can be *very* hot and stifling in the tents even in mild weather if the vents are not opened right away. It's a pity. With a little bit of effort toward hospitality this could be a nice place to stay. But the owners don't seem to have a clue.

There's not a lot of affordable accommodation on the North Shore so this seemed like a decent option. It's definitely quiet and out of the way and amidst a pretty setting. It's not camping because there are beds are comfortable and nice -- hence the 'glamping' designation. But glamorous it is not!

Access to a broom, we were there for a week and would have liked to have swept out sand and dirt after a day or two.

Wonderful location, close to town, yet secluded enough to be quiet and private. We were there for an entire week, so longer than most. Host was friendly and helpful, camp bathrooms and showers were cleaned each day. Never had to wait for resources since there were several on site.

It is so hard to find where the "glamping" is located. There are not visible signs until you reach the entrance of the property which is on the middle of a grass where we never thought we could drive through.  We tried to plug the lights inside of the tent as one of our neighbors told us and lights were not working. There was a linkage inside of the tent and one of our bags got wet with all the clothes inside. Nobody was there for us to ask for help. No hot water and no electricity at all. I would never called this place "glamping" at all because it has nothing glamorous.

    The bed was comfortable.

The king bed was on a queen platform. So the edges sloped off to the floor. The twin bed was an overused couch-bed that split in the middle. Very very uncomfortable. But we had no other choice.

There are many things we did not like. There was no soap in the washroom facility. There was no hot or warm water for showering. When we attempted to contact the host to help us turn the solar lights on, no one answered the phone (multiple times). The host did not come to meet us at all during our stay. The bed mattresses were comfortable, but the top sheets were thin and we were cold sleeping on a rainy Dec night. Even though we properly closed all zippers to the tent, the tent leaked and there were puddles at the side. Luckily we kept most of our items in hard shell luggage and in our vehicle. The tent fabric has started to mold in places and did not appear as new as advertised. The location is unlocked day and night and we saw locals wandering intoxicated nearby which didn’t make our children feel very safe for sleeping. Overall this was not worth $300 USD/night we were charged. Maybe for $100 or less, but certainly NOT a $300/night stay.

    The two beds were comfortable.

After careful consideration and witnessing my fiancé's tears over the discomfort, I made the decision to book a different place. The less-than-charming nature, coupled with muddy terrain, toad encounters, and the inconvenience of shared facilities, proved too much to bear. In search of a more comfortable and enjoyable escape, we opted for an alternative accommodation that better aligns with our expectations for a restful and charming retreat.

Tent was ok bed was little itchy though

The host deliberately lied to us twice about the bathrooms. It said in the Ad that there were private bathrooms, she then informed us two hours before the free cancellation period ended that there were only pubilc bathrooms close by. When we arrived we had to learn that that was not true either (they were much further away AND CLOSED from 9pm to 9am). We were very disappointed. We still had to pay for one night although we did not get what we booked. Ruined part of our trip.

The tents are pretty and big and the location is also nice, a bit far if you are travelling by bus.

The restrooms were not ready by the time we arrived, so no running water or restrooms. We had to drive to the park or state park for showers and restrooms. We were informed we would receive a partial refund for our stay since the amenity was not completed and available for us. Also, it is hard to find at night but we eventually found the farm with communication from the owner.

We loved the location, the large and very comfortable glamping tent with sofa, beds with sheets, blankets and pillows, even dresser and drawers. It was peaceful and quiet, and many items for cooking were provided. Loved the inside solar string lights. The hammocks are a nice touch and I took advantage of it along with the picnic tables to meet new friends, cook, and have dinner together. It was a great experience!

Disturbed at first time not konwing about the absence of bathroom with the farm, my hosts showed me alternative solutions that suited me very well.

Martha and her family were kind. They allowed my to charge my phone at their place and I received a nice gift. The price wa very affordable for my budget and the tents themselves were just amazing, comfy and so much located. The beach is near by and I really had my quiet time in Hawaii
