More surface area to put things would have been appreciate. It would have been good to have an animal and noise guide to identify which animals we could hear.

It was magical in the jungle. Great atmosphere and night time noises. Well kitted out - great to have kitchen in the dome and shared kitchen. Thank you to the lovely lady who gave us banana bread.

Kaley and Cassidy were very accomodating properties managers going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We stayed in the Geodome and the setting was absolutely beautiful, backing up to nature, flowers, ferns, wild chicken, pigs across the fence but in viewing site as well as birds and the sounds of nature all around. The community kitchen was very well stocked and we wanted for nothing. Great local coffee provided as well. Bonnie and Chrisophe were great hosts and the grounds were lovely. They put a lot of attention into making each little unit private, unique and special. I loved the firepits and firefly lights and pathways that lighted up as you walked about at night. We will be coming back!

Didn't like that we only stayed for a week.

Loved the dome tent. It was nicely decorated inside. Loved the Turkish lamp! They provide tea, coffee, various spices and condiments, soaps, shampoo, conditioner, dish soap, etc. The lava stone shower is unique! Nice garden area right next to the deck. Location was perfect for us: about a quarter mile from the Captain Cook's Monument trailhead. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Such a cool place!

Overall, there wasn't anything I didn't like. This place was awesome. Note, however, you essentially need a rental car to use this property. If you are not comfortable with driving around the island, this is probably not the place for your stay in Hawaii.

This was an exceptional stay in Hawaii. Granted, this was my first time on the island, so I don't have any other island comparables. What makes Manta great is it captures the "vibe" of Hawaii perfectly. This is a jungle rainforest location on a beautiful rustic property. Whether it is lounging on the porch admiring the landscaping or watching wild chickens and pigs in the forest beyond the fence. Perhaps watching the stars at night or admiring the jungle my moonlight. Setting is 10/10. Inside the dome, the main room is exceptional. Tastefully decorated. Well ventilated and lots of airflow (usually the Achilles heel of staying in a dome). The main bed is comfortable. The light fixtures are marvelous. One of them is even somewhat mystical. The bathroom is ridiculously high quality. Great water pressure in the shower, toilet, and sink. Especially if this is a well? The bathroom has excellent lighting when used in the night as well. Also, where you park your car is close to the dome. There is a lovely walkway between the carpark and the dome. I will recommend this place to others visiting this part of Hawaii in the future, no hesitation!
