A basic hotel which is a good option if visiting Legoland

The room was just okay. Very basic. I think its fine if you are using it just for sleeping and spending most of the day outside. My two main complains - 1. There is no restaurant in the hotel. For coffee and breakfast we had to drive 10 min to a nearby starbucks. 2. The rooms are not cleaned everyday. Room cleaning service is only offered after 4/5 nights. We stayed for two nights and were running out of fresh towels. Would have been difficult if we had stayed for even an additional night.

Great location if you are visiting Legoland. The hotel gives you access to the back entrance of legoland which with some planning helps cover major rides before the crowd from the general entrance makes its way. The area has some nice resorts. The lobby and common area was clean and very well maintained. The room has microwave, cups and basic silverware which was very helpful.

List of rules given at check in such as loud noises after 10pm and more, there’s thin walls, and mostly saw families with kids, they were loud early in the morning.

Room was spacious, ease of parking (driving in and out), environment/greenery was nice

Bed was a little hard. But that's personal taste.

Smart relatively new hotel. Excellent location for my business. Room was a studio but big clean and airy. Really good value for money as hotels in Carlsbad expensive in the summer. Only stayed one night so they refunded me for the second one without question. Hallway and room lighting was on PIR so no fumbling for lights in a strange room in the middle of the night. Nice idea. Will definitely stay here next time I'm in the area.

Accommodations for early check in and late check out were not met. Some of the room amenities were not working (e.g. ironing board broken and one of the stove top burners broken). For the price you pay, would expect the villas to be better equipped.

Location was clean and staff was friendly. The rooms were a good size and our location gave us access to the 4th of July fireworks from Legoland. Front row seats from our villa patio! The pools were busy but I’d you get there early enough, you can reserve a nice spot. Poolside service was great!

The fitness center doesn’t open until 8 am. When you have kids it’s always better to work out before the kids wake up to start the day

DO NOT BOOK this hotel, at least not through Booking.com -- We were traveling as a group of 5 moms & 5 small kids, and requested 3 adjacent rooms when booking. I also called the hotel after booking to make sure they saw the request for adjacent rooms. When we arrived, they had booked us in rooms in entirely different "neighborhoods" that required a shuttle to get between (or a long-ish walk -- part of which was along a busy road -- w/ little kids in tow). The staff basically just said "oh yeah next time book directly with the hotel so you can pick out your rooms; we don't do that for 3rd party sites." We would have never stayed at this hotel if we had known we'd be super far apart -- it was a HUGE bummer and added a lot of unnecessary logistics to the trip (shleping small kids across the property just so we could hang out as a group).

The main part of the hotel ("The Cove") is directly next to Legoland -- very convenient for visiting the park.

The front desk advised me that it cost $30 A NIGHT to park at the hotel which seems unbelievable. It’s a resort that is off street and there is literally a parking spot for each room. I questioned this and the clerk confirmed. Anyhow I later found my booking on booking .com where I had already paid the parking free in the booking. How did the hotel not already know this if they took the booking. I went straight down at checkout and informed the new clerk that I wanted the account creditors. Which he did straight away. Check out at this hotel is 10am, which seem ludicrous.

This hotel is about 4 miles out of Carlsbad, so don’t book it to be local to the amenities without having to drive. It was clean and kept well but that was about it.

My room was driving distance from the checkin/lobby which also meant any amenities where literally half a mile away. Elevator wasn’t working at all during entire stay, water was shut off for maintenance. Extra fees for parking and other things added. Constant text reminders about noise restrictions are unnecessary.

The only positive to this stay was how big the room was.

We had a studio room, which was nice, but felt small. For a couple this would be perfect. Tried for a two bedroom, but none were available. The bathroom was a bit small, but still nice.

This property is gorgeous. It’s has so many activities for children of all ages in the pool area. The kids played on the water slide for hours. Then they played ping pong, billiards, foos ball, and patio sized connect four. In the evenings we met families by the fire pits and made s’more. The pool snack bar is reasonably priced. This property provides a trail leading to a private entrance to Legoland. There is also a nice hiking trail nearby, and of course, there If your room is further away from the pool area, there is a golf cart shuttle. Everything about this place has been thought through perfectly. The sunsets are beautiful and very visible from the pool area. Beach is very close by car.

First off we booked through a 3rd party service booking .com and paid 3days before our stay. When my boyfriend and I went to check in (check in starts at 4pm) at 5:30 pm I was told that the room was not clean. So we were offered another room at the same price. Unfortunately the front desk made a mistake by not using our electronic credit card that we had through booking.con and charged us again. So now at this point I had paid for one room twice! Furthermore, starting at 6am in the morning on Sunday the noise of crying babies and violent footsteps from above kept us both awake the rest of the morning. You would think after all of these inconveniences they would grant us at late check out seeing as how 10am is very early, but nope! Very unsatisfied with this property and my entire stay :(

I liked the cleanliness of the property

    Everything was great

Customer service excellent and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Brandon at front desk and both women at the concierge were fantastic! The location was close to Carlsbad village for restaurants and bars/nightlife. The pool area was clean and children friendly for families. But also as a single traveler it was not obnoxiously crowded with children screaming. There were 2 separate pool areas by The Cove. Small bar with quick food service was nice.
