Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustriaThe rooms are a bit smelly and not so clean.
Location is good, as you have close by buses going to Seattle downtown. The rooms are big. Heating and A/C available.

RussiaSome guest was smoking in an adjacent room which is very annoying. It would be nice if there were smoke alarms.
this hotel is not expensive. If you hate renting cars, the bus line links to the center in 30 minutes (incl walking).

United States of AmericaThe carpet floor were my only dislike. It made a bit of cranky sounds but it was fine. I took my loafers with me and wore them all the time, as well as simple flip flops for the shower but that is just my standard for any hotel.
It is pretty comfy for the affordable price and even tho is technically not in the downtown area, taking the bus to get there was super easy and fast. It is located in a nice and quiet neighborhood area and has plenty of local shops and restaurants at walking distance. It was the perfect stay for my bf and I, as we planned on going local by using public transportation and grocery shopping for the whole trip instead of eating out every time. The room was really comfy and I appreciated so much the heating system of the room and the shower. The room looks old, but that is just how the building is. Is 40 years old! But in such a nice fit and with good amenities you don't even get at other brand hotels, like mini fridge with freezer, microwave, coffee maker and fast wifi. They also have a laundry room, vending and ice machine. The staff goes above and beyond. My flight was going to arrive late at night so they nicely texted me to make sure I was going okay and that they were waiting for us to check in. Overall helpful and welcoming, all of them. Don't let the word motel mislead at all.

CanadaNo major issues, but bathroom is a bit older and has some limitations - it gets steam-filled very quickly and could use a larger shelf.
Comfortable, very reasonably priced place to stay for a quick visit to Seattle. Staff brought us extra towels immediately when we requested. We'd stay again.

United States of AmericaI wish there had been a clock in the room. The refrigerator was so cold that the water in our water bottles turned into ice. I wish there had been something there with a list of eating facilities in the neighborhood (with phone numbers and addresses). Also, was only able to get four channels on the TV and they were extremely unsatisfactory.
Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was adequate.

ChileThe bathroom was a little small and the window stayed open a crack, but this was not much of a bother and the rooms stayed warm enough. They lent us a hair drier (the room didn't have one) and gave us extra towels. We would have liked a little more overhead light in the room (the room had lots of light, but not much from above).
The location is very convenient. Easy to get by walking to Fremont and Wallingford and by bus to downtown, Seattle Center, U District. It is close to the E, 5, 44, 31/32 and other bus lines (the 5 and E go to the Center and Downtown). I was worried it wouldn't be a nice area on Aurora Ave N (a highway) but it was safe, pleasant, and surprisingly quiet. A pedestrian overpass nearby makes getting over the highway simple, and there are nice walks close by. Although it is not close to a major center or major supermarket by walking, it is a short walk to Marketime (a small supermarket on Fremont Ave) where one can buy pretty much everything one needs, and there are cafes and restaurants there too (some moderately priced but family friendly and with decent food). The motel staff was very friendly and helpful, offering us extra snacks (especially for our young child).

SingaporeThe room was quite quaint. I like that they provided more hangers than the other motels I've stayed in. The living area was spacious and the couch was quite comfortable. There wasn't much of a breakfast - just simple coffee and tea provided with some granola bars. There was only one left when I got there. The old man working there was very nice and friendly and gave me the last one. He was very warm and welcoming and made my experience there a lot sweeter. It's a relatively budget inn away from the city of Seattle so if you want something affordable without being far from the city, this is a great place.

PhilippinesThere is no heater in the room so it was so cold especially at night and early morning. We found a lip balm under the sheets in one of the beds. We were in the ground floor room and we can here the footsteps and conversations of people staying above us so it was a bit uncomfortable and makes it hard to sleep.
They have an option for three beds which is perfect for families. Clean bathroom and free parking. The staff is also very helpful and accommodating.

United States of AmericaThe location requires a bit of extra travel to get around. It is located on a one way street (Aurora) which you have to travel a bit to go back the other direction. It's not that big a deal though. It's about 15 min drive to downtown Seattle.
Friendly staff. I've stayed here twice now, and have enjoyed both times. Particularly the second time; I got the "favorite" room which was surprisingly large, lots of windows, including a view of downtown Seattle. Everything worked, and was clean, with some obvious attention to updating &/or refurbishing some features. The rate is very affordable, which considering a lot of the rates in Seattle, is really appreciated. I think it may have changed owners fairly recently. I have come to learn that neighborhood has a colorful history and the Marco Polo used to be known as a sketchy "no tell motel". I didn't get that vibe from it at all, but I could see how that may have been the case at a time. I actually enjoy spaces that have a more varied history. I find it more interesting than the the corporate owned expensive places boasting opulence, but no character. It's near the Northgate neighbourhood which is a nice change of pace from downtown cap/hill area. Still bustling energy with a hip business area, and an extensive park around the lake, but a bit more chill.

CanadaAir-conditioner was not turned on when I arrived and room was very hot. It eventually cooled it down but it was very noisy. Fridge freezer had not been de-frosted for a long time but it’s nice that there is a fridge and microwave in the room.
Still one of the cheaper options in Seattle, but prices have gone up a lot. It’s a typical old motel needing some refurbishment. The new owner asked me for feedback on ways to improve the property which is a good gesture. My suggestions: new lighting/lamps in the room, replace old paintings, re-paint some of the surfaces, add power cord extensions in the room (older building with difficult to access plug sockets), replace shower curtain, provide new and bigger towels, add a better more secure lock for the door. All of this would make a big difference and wouldn’t cost that much to do. Bathroom needs a remodel but that would obviously be more expensive to do.
