Booked the last king bed and ended up in room 315. Staff apologized at checkin and said nothing else was available during our stay. Room was around the corner from the elevator and had a view of a rooftop parking lot. While this wasn’t optimal, the room was comfortable and the noise from the adjacent elevator was barely noticeable. At times we almost forgot it was there.

Great location, very friendly staff and good restaurant on site with excellent food and service.

Mattress on one of the beds was a bit saggy and needs to be replaced.

The location is why we booked this hotel. It’s a short walk to many of the historic sights and restaurants. The interior of the hotel is beautiful and exceptionally clean. Maid service is twice daily, with turn down in the evening. Upon check in, we were asked if anyone had allergy to down, and pillows and comforter on that bed were replaced. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

    Nothing.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Market Pavilion. The room was very comfortable with plenty of thick towels and complimentary robes and slippers. I appreciated the lit, magnified mirror in the bathroom and the safe for valuables. The room is very serene with luxury fabrics and spalike colors. The complimentary breakfast is served on each floor with homemade pastries and muffins, fruit, coffee/tea, and fresh orange juice. The staff is friendly, polite and attentive. The location is excellent and walkable to anywhere you want to go on the peninsula with plenty of restaurants to choose from. I highly recommend the Market Pavilion Hotel.

Room is a bit small and not sure why but they still have the Covid separators on the rooftop.

Stuff were wonderful ! Very clean hotel, well maintained and in a great spot. The breakfast pastries are nice but are gone very early, by 8:00 there is nothing left.

I can't think of anything to not like about this hotel.

The friendly staff that greeted us set the tone. I felt as if they would solve any problem that came up during my stay but none did. The lobby and restaurant were beautiful. We didn't eat at the restaurant on the main level because we enjoyed the rooftop bar very much. The drinks and food were very good. Our room was very nice and the bathroom was spacious and very clean. In the morning we went in the bathrobes and slippers provided just outside our door and served ourselves the best coffee I have ever had. There were nice pastries too. At night there is a turn down service with cookies. Of all the places I have ever stayed, this is my favorite. I loved the coffee so much, the young ladies at the desk gave me a bag of it.

The fruit flies in our room were a little annoying.

The location was perfect. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to visit. The rooftop bar and grill was a great location to relax and take advantage of the view. The staff was wonderful, even secured us a last minute reservation to the restaurant! The "turn-down" service was an added bonus!

The cost of the parking was a bit wild to me. For a $500/night stay, I would have expected parking to be included. I’ve stayed in Charleston a few years ago, at another hotel, and valet was included. Also, the rooftop bartender was not the most personable. I felt unwelcome when we asked to move chairs around to fit us at the bar.

The hotel was gorgeous! I would have never known it was opened 2002. The character and vibes were definitely high end southern charm! The hotel was right next to the market and smack in the middle of everything. Most downtown sites were within walking distance and we enjoyed that a lot. We did not eat onsite, but did visit the rooftop bar which had amazing views. I really enjoyed the turn down service option and the complementary breakfast and coffee on our floor in the morning. The staff at the desk were phenomenal! Super helpful and had great recommendations for us. I would consider staying again.

I thought the rooftop bar and pool area wasn’t as nice as it’s been in the past… I felt like it needs an updating and cleaning… Did not even think that the drinks were that great, the whole area and drink menu needs an updating. Staff was great though.

The only thing lacking was a refrigerator in the room.

The location is perfect! Right next to the market, and a block or two to the water and parks. Great restaurants within a few blocks. Each floor had coffee service with fruit and danish/muffins. The service and staff were outstanding.
