Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Pam is amazing. Kind, efficient, goes way out of her way to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. Aside from being amazing at her job Pam is a lovely human being. The housekeeper is great and so is other staff at desk. Would definitely go back!

United States of AmericaDon't care for the clawfoot style tub with encircling shower curtain. Just don't care for them since they are difficult to shower in..
It is a historic hotel and is furnished that way, very quaint. Owner spent some time with us at check in explaining things and showing us different things about the hotel, very personable. Hotel is right downtown, close to all the shops, restaurants and sights.

The place is beautiful! Everything is so well done! Met the owners, who were very friendly and gracious! Rooms, linens and towels were all wonderful! Cleanliness was top notch. Free parking available, which is great for Deadwood! Would absolutely stay again.

United States of AmericaCOLD and walking that short block to strip was painful. I wish there was a way they didnt have to lock the door closest to the gold dust. I get it. OHHH and this is a like not a dislike but I have no room in likes. They allow you to have real beer ECT while gambling in Casino. ITS hit and miss in Deadwood. Many just offer BUD Light and Coors but they dont.
First of all trying to drive in during a blizzard as far as I know. CERTAINLY dangerous road conditions. THe operator ( whom answered my call ) was not only entertaining the idea we may need to cancel against policy... he seemed concerned for our safety. It never came down to "we cant make it in"I felt relieved that they appeared to be willing to work with us if that had been the case. BUT MORE TO HIS CREDIT... he called later to see how we were doing and gave us a weather report as he knew it to be. I honestly just wanted to cancel when I made the call but to engage in that rare hospitality, I felt like this might be worth the trip. And it was. The building was as historic (while still being comfortable )as you can get. Every time Id question something's antiquity, Id prove myself wrong. BUT to top it off the little unexpected touches... I woke up first morning disappointed there was no coffee maker in room. I opened door to see in the hall an entire coffee cart. MUCH better than the one cup, bottom of quality makers often offered. Included was an option of foam or classic turn of century style cups. Also .... despite the lack of in room refrigerator, at end of the hall there is a wine cooler full of sodas and water for guests. Those little touches tell you management MUST be involved in the operation. FINALLY and most telling.( OWNERS READ THIS ) We stopped to bother the housekeeper about hotel info day two or three. She had a long and interesting history there ( Ill let her tell you all the story when you decide to visit) But beyond the clear connection she has with the place and work ethic that you cant help but see... She spoke highly of the ( I assume) owners! How often do you find employees with anything but complaints about the job and/ or who they do it for? A GEM she is.

United States of AmericaThere was one staff member who was incredibly irritable. She gave off the appearance that helping or answering questions was the last thing she wanted to do. Made me feel like an inconvenience. The breakfast in the attached diner was also very cheap in experience but not in price. Paper cups and plates. It became busy very quickly, and I noticed that as soon as we left our table, the waitress showed another couple to it right away... without wiping it or cleaning it.
The room was very historical. It was like stepping back in time! Beautiful atmosphere, and it was close enough to walk everywhere.

United States of AmericaI think that a grab bar by the bathtub would be helpful.
The location was extremely convenient. We walked to everything. The room was filled with antiques, very authentic. It was very quiet. The bathroom was quite large. Lots of toiletries were provided. A fridge in the hallway had bottled water and soft drinks. In the morning, there was coffee outside our room. Our room was ready early for us.

United States of AmericaOur stay was perfect...I can't think of a single thing that was lacking. Blake and Melanie are wonderful hosts, always willing to help in any way. My husband was riding the Mickelson Trail and needed a place to keep his bike where it would be safe. They accommodated his need cheerfully, providing a safe storage place. They are very knowledgeable about the area's history and willing to chat about what they know. A perfect stay.
This hotel has been beautifully restored with lovely antiques, beautiful colors and tasteful decor throughout. The rooms are on the floor above the small casino below, so it is quiet and restful. There is a delightful cafe adjacent to the casino on the ground floor, offering wonderful breakfasts served by cheerful, friendly staff.
