Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaRoom was fine for us (a couple) but wouldn't be super spacious if you had a child with you. Breakfast was fun (oatmeal with a ton of toppings and pop tarts) but not my taste. Would recommend to the hotel to offer some kind of bread with a variety of jams also - many European travelers while we were there and think that would be a more familiar breakfast offering for them.
The artwork and decor are unique and exceptional! The grounds have been completely converted into a funky mid-century space with lots of options to amuse yourself. The pool is fun and great that it's saltwater. Awesome horchata flavored beer on tap and first drink's on them! We stayed on our way to our destination and then rebooked on the way home because of the great experience and super value! Staff is lovely - great vibes from everyone!

United States of AmericaThe mattress was uncomfortable. With just one chair in the room, people seem to sit along the edges of the bed resulting in indentations that were uncomfortable for sleeping.
The murals and art. The saltwater pool and games. The two complimentary drinks!

United States of AmericaI think getting blackout curtains would help keep the room cool during the hottest part of the day. Possibly, getting triangle tarps to generate more shaded areas.
The staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was just the right size and clean! I enjoyed the free oatmeal bar breakfast and appreciated the effort to share about local attractions (discounts!).

United States of AmericaThe location isn't as bad as it could have been in that the motel/hotel is nicely situated by a number of highways with easy access. I was hoping for something more walkable, there's really nothing to walk to except a walking trail, but our to-do list often put us on the highway anyway. And downtown parking was much easier than I expected too. We had a rental car, flew in from the east coast, so it took a few days to get the western perspective.
Hotel McCoy was easy to spot from the highway so the initial arrival was a breeze. The staff was welcoming and gracious (and we interacted with many people). I was surprised how much my sister like the place, she especially liked the art and when we spent time later in Tucson I could see wall art as a large theme for the city. Our room was fine, clean and modern feeling. No real closet but hooks were all we needed anyway. We loved the tables on the sidewalk outside the rooms and spent time there reading, researching and snacking. If you can believe, our pool time was spoiled by rain and slightly chilly weather but the hotel is set up for fun. Actually, there's a lot set up for fun. We saw many families enjoying the pool or outdoor games, etc. The food truck was handy to have on arrival and a different one appeared during our stay for variety. I couldn't get in synch with my sister for bar time so we squandered one chit but options are fine. We both liked the oatmeal bar and all the toppings, coffee with options, and the pop tarts. It was a really quick drive to the tourist parts of downtown, we actually spent equal time going the other way, so I would definitely stay at Hotel McCoy again. I'm old enough to have stayed at a motel like this when it was new.

United States of AmericaI would have liked an actual closet rather than just hooks to hang up clothing.
We loved the funky vibe of the place and all the art everywhere. It was pouring rain when we got to the hotel, but it was so fun and cozy to hang out at the bar and chat with the super-friendly staff. The room itself wasn't big, although it had everything we needed and was very clean.

United States of AmericaThere should be a way to indicate needs daily. We stayed for 6 days, and in our first room, the floors were filthy. So much so that we had to wash our feet after a shower and prior to bed. We asked for a "refresh" and mentioned the floor specifically. The service was slotted for the next day after 10 am. We moved all of our belongings to higher ground so it could be mopped. We were gone all day and came back to the pile of towels we left on the floor and empty trash cans, no mopped floor. We went to the front desk and they did move us 2 doors down. The room was better, but then I was asked to move from the handicap spot into another hanicap spot over so they could build a shed that three days later never came nor was built. In my opinion, handicap spaces should be kept as such and not used for the businesses building needs. The breakfast was amazing and the coffee was good! Property clean. I hated having to ask for toilet paper, trash bags and towels. Maybe a system can be figured out to provide long staying guests with amenities needed without having to go to the lobby and ask. No housekeeping on site?
The people, the art, the property.

United States of AmericaNothing to dislike. Suggestion though: maybe include some plain or vanilla yogurt to your oatmeal breakfast bar. Not everyone loves hot oatmeal in hot Tucson )our visit was mid April and it was warming up). With all the great toppings, they could easily be paired for a yogurt parfait too!
4th visit to the McCoy and honestly each stay gets better as they get "older"! Can still recommend highly. Little touches make big differences.

United States of AmericaLeaving!
What an unexpected treasure this place is! It’s an artistically renovated 1960’s hotel and was the perfect respite after a 2 day drive from east Texas. Art, coffee, heated salt water pool, and vintage pinball machines that take quarters! Oatmeal breakfast bar was outstanding and excellent tea selection.

United States of AmericaThe only comment I would suggest is that they offer hot chocolate in addition to coffee and tea, especially for children. I noted several times that a family was looking for a beverage for their child at breakfast. We stayed in a family room, and it was good. I would only suggest a curtain be placed between the sink area and the rest of the room, like a privacy curtain. I am a mom traveling with two sons and a husband, and it would have been nice to have just a bit more privacy beyond the tiny bathroom for changing, etc.
The hotel was lovely and retro. The staff was friendly and accommodating. There were great activities and a nice bar. Breakfast was simple but unique, with an oatmeal bar and pop-tarts. The artwork is amazing
