Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The weather was cold - not much they could do about that!
Very clean room, and the full size fridge was a nice surprise! Even though the street was very busy the room was wonderfully quiet - a wonderful resting place after a long day on the road!!

Being a senior citizen, would recommend grab bars in the bathtub/shower.
This was a basic hotel that was about $100 cheaper that the competition. The hotel delivered what Tom Bodett promised Motel 6 would years ago: clean competent service with no frills. The bed was comfortable, more than expected counter space, 3/4 size refrigerator, towels, sunrises, water that was instantly hot, air conditioning that was quilter and effective, and a parking spot right in front of our door. Outside was clean, neighborhood was good, reasonably quiet.

It would have been good if there had been some dishes and utensils to go with the use of the fridge and microwave.
For an older place it was great! Very clean and plenty of room; more than we expected. The host was great.

The units were small but that is to be expected from hotels built during its prime era. Otherwise this place was just right.
Sparkling clean, good bed, good kitchenette facilities, hosts were friendly, helpful, and busy making sure everything was tip top. The place is a beautifully remodeled vintage hotel. The floors literally shined it was so carefully cleaned. For one of the least expensive hotels in Mesa this place would have been a bargain at a more expensive price.

The area of town seemed a little sketchy...

The owners need a little help with wifi. They have added additional routers to help with connecting to the internet but haven't added enough bandwidth to allow for normal use (i.e. non-streaming). We used the internet to access websites and read email and had very slow response. I can't imagine what would have happened if we attempted to stream something.
The facility itself has been completely redone from what we could see. The flooring was new and the room was spotless throughout our stay.

The bed was a little too firm for our liking but it was set on a metal base which made a sound like rattling pipes when you turn over at night.

Mesa Oasis Inn & Motel exceeded our expectations. We stayed there because the price was relatively reasonable considering the season (spring training in baseball). Our stay was pleasant, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Although the motel is old, it has been very well maintained and was extremely clean! It was also quiet enough and comfortable enough, and the wifi worked well.

No frills, not many extras but comfortable
Small complex 20 rooms, mom and pop, literally, owned. Husband and wife team work the site and do an excellent job. Retro style motel but refurbished and very well maintained. Apache trail was known for many of these small independently owned motels. However, developers have forced many out and now apartments for asu dominate the area. On lite rail route, Makes getting around easy.

The motel has humble accommodations but had everything we needed for our stay, a comfortable bed, a decent tv, a decent shower, a microwave and a mini-fridge. Would stay again due to it being a good value compared to the crazy prizes of other hotels during spring training.

The only thing that was missing was a hairdryer…usually one is provided these days.
There was no breakfast, but I was very happy that it was squeaky clean. Bed was pretty comfy too.

The neighborhood…
We were visiting family and if it had been closer to where they live I’d stay there again! Cleanest motel I’ve ever been in!

I think it was the priciest place on our adventure home to Canada. Bad internet
There was no breakfast unfortunately but it was a surprise and exceeded what we thought from the outside appearance. The internet was the biggest disappointment it was slim to non-existent and they took the pool out

It has newer window treatments; my flight got in late, so black out drapes woukd have been helpful.
Room is clean and welll maintained. Very comfortable bed. Room includes Refrigerator and microwave. Parking close to room. Helpful staff.

The only issue for us was a very poor cable and internet connection. The staff was able to fix the tv for us but the wifi was pretty bad the whole time.
The staff was nice, rooms were good. Staff was outside working on the property regularly. They have a cute garden out front and the rooms were clean and well maintained.
