To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

AustraliaThere was no fridge in the room which was very disappointing. The TV stopped working the night before we left, too late to report it. Or bath had a blockage on day 1, they fixed promptly.
The location is super handy if you want the vibe of Times Sq. The view of Manhattan was excepptional.

ItalyThe room was old, so old, several parts need a renewal, pieces of moquette are detaching, dirty or broken. The bathroom is even worts. I think for that price they must renew a bit the room, I can understand that you pay for the position but this could not be the 95% of the price. The number of the stars is not even close at the standard we have in Europe, a facility like this would be rated with no more than two stars.
Absolutely the position, it’s located at two footsteps from Timesquare and broadway, the staff is very friendly and helpful. That’s everything for the positive part.

United KingdomThe hotel is now really pretty dated and the rooms are really tired. There’s no bar or restaurant in the hotel itself, and no other available communal space that we were able to find to sit and chat as a family group.
The location is fabulous, 100m from Times Square, there are restaurants and bars for every price range very close by too. The hotel staff are, for the most part, super friendly and helpful.

Nice location in hearth of New York City, few steps from Broadway. Everything works but nothing special. Everything was clean and personal was friendly and helpful. Money value ratio is questionable, but acceptable.
