No elevator

Wry reasonable prices and a friendly staff and great location

The elevator is out of service, so I had to carry my doggo to the third floor. Also, the extra cost for pets wasn't mentioned when I checked in, but was charged to my card the day of checkout. A heads up would have been nice.

The breakfast had to be the highlight. Wasn't much, but I love waffles.

The rooms are pretty run-down. My room had a broken outlet next to the sink; and the hairdryer was nailed to the wall next to this outlet, so I couldn't very well use it. When I brought this up to the front desk, they placed me in another room, which had a lot of water damage in the walls and smelled like mold. I requested my initial room after that along with a spare hairdryer, and I was drying my hair in whatever outlet was convenient for me. The beds were pretty uncomfortable to sleep in.

The location is the primary appeal here: right in between downtown SD and La Jolla! The daily breakfast was nice to have; although it was only really good on weekends. The front desk was very accommodating.

Rooms are clean but well worn. Maintenance badly needed, missing light bulbs, broken door locks, broken elevator.

Location is good, near several restaurants, only two blocks from the trolley station. Breakfast is decent although no hot food. Rooms have microwave and refrigerator.

Great location off freeway. The room was fairly clean. The bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

What I did like: friendly staff at front desk. Hot breakfast.

What I did not like: Most of the TV channels did not work, just displayed the message "no signal." Staff said they would fix it but did not. No housekeeping across five days. Wall outlet broken near bed, tried plugging in phone charger but something was loose and it wouldn't stay plugged in. Soda vending machine not working right, not accepting swiped credit card.

Rooms were pretty old. Some of the paint was chipped and the wallpaper was peeling. The pool was very warm, but had no lights on at night.

Easy access from the freeway. The pool was warm and clean.

We arrived on the 27th at night after having driven all day from Arizona, the receptionist was rude, didn't give us information about the hotel, coffee hours, Wi-Fi password. We went to ask if we could use the hot tub and she was very thick. And the hot was dirty, it’s no light there too for you can use at night

No working elevator this time - I stayed in the hotel a year ago, and it was working. One day I asked for the room to be cleaned - no one came.

Location and room size - fantastic. Dining room - open 24/7, with free hot beverages is an A+. There is plenty of parking. Breakfast is good. Mattresses very comfortable.

Elevator is not working. Had to carry luggage up 3 stairs by myself. This was my second stay, the room was dated and in need of minor repairs. Receptionist was not very friendly.

Good location and neighborhood, I felt safe. 7-11 across the street. Restaurant within walking distance.

No maid service. When we asked why we had none we were told they no longer provided it unless it was specifically requested and we not apprised of this at check in.
