Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaLocation in midst of apartment construction. Noisy during the week. Blinds of cheap quality, don’t really open. Ice maker a bit iffy. Small stuff.
Clean spacious well appointed. Owner attentive when I left the keys inside the apartment.

United States of AmericaThe neighborhood is still developing, so it doesn't look as complete as what one would expect.
Amenities are great, big space and an Uber away from center city.

GermanyUnfortunately, the walls are quite thin, so you can hear neighbours opening doors, talking etc. Sometimes I'd wake up because someone returned home late. I'd recommend having a car, because walking to the city center takes > 50 minutes, and public transport is not so good in Philadelphia.
The apartment is very spacious and nicely equipped. There is everything you need in the kitchen and bathroom, and all the appliances are high quality. The check-in process was smooth and quick, and communication with the landlord was great as well.

United States of AmericaArea is going thru transition...best to drive, rather than walk at night. Construction interferes with sidewalk in the immediate area.
Beautifully appointed and fresh modern apartment with all the amenities. Beds were comfy, kitchen was stocked. Washer and dryer included. Walking distance to Logan Square, Convention Center, and museum.

United States of AmericaNothing to do right outside the property. But, we rented bikes and everything was within 1-3 miles away.
Very clean. We struggled with getting in because I forgot the codes. I called the owner and immediately received assistance. Great space. Bike rental across the street. Grocery store across the street. Very convenient.

United States of AmericaParking outside was free, but street parkers got hit by late night drivers. Make sure to park closer to PHA building.
It was very clean and easy to get access. The property was very user friendly.

United States of AmericaThere is a lot of noise from outside. A large pothole in front of the apartment causes loud banging every time a truck drives by. The walls and windows are thin, and you can hear people in the other apartments, and all the traffic coming by. The pizza place next door slams with their back door constantly until midnight. At 6 AM construction workers start their work (yes, really, at 6 AM) with loud banging, heavy machinery and music. It's difficult to get any good night's sleep in the apartment. The neighborhood is shady; we didn't really feel safe to go out at night and even considered going elsewhere. There are 3 lock boxes on the door. One of them had the exact code on them, that we received from the hosts. That means everyone could have read that code, or gotten access to the keys, which didn't feel secure at all. The apartment needs a dresser in each bedroom - we struggled to put our items anywhere as there is no space to do that. The shower takes several minutes before the water is warm enough. The carpet in the living room has lots of stains and desperately needs replacing. The couch is very uncomfortable and had lots of crumbs on it and wasn't cleaned at all. The air-conditioning is noisy. The window shades have holes in them. One of the chairs is broken. All in all, we felt the apartment was overpriced for the quality offered. Although we enjoyed our stay in Philadelphia, next time, we will stay elsewhere.
Communication by the hosts is excellent. The apartment was easy to find and it's only a short drive from the city center and the airport. Parking close to the apartment in the evenings is easy (not so much in the morning). The apartment is very large. The beds are good.

United States of AmericaLiving room rug is filthy with stains. Couch is barely suitable, as springs are almost popping through the fabric. Construction all around starts early in the morning. Pizza place next door has walk in freezers out back and doors slam constantly between 11pm and midnight.
Large well appointed apartment with good check in instructions. Fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms.

United States of AmericaHaving to park on the street. And depending on how busy the pizza shop was, depended on how close you could park to the location.
Was a good location near where we were visiting. The apartment was clean. Loved the coffee maker, and everything was there to make ourselves breakfast before we left for the day.
