Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomLovely apartment. Great first impressions as soon as we walked in. Very large and comfy bed. Really spacious room. Shame about the herd of elephants staying in the room above us. Location was good. Few homeless around but didn’t bother anyone. Right next to Balboa Park. Managed to park for free close to the apartment but beware of the palm trees!

MexicoThe mattress could be firmer and the checkin instructions didn't arrive in time.
The place is very clean and a 20 minute walk to the entrance of Balboa park. Didn't have any problems with the noise from airplanes.

CanadaGood location, comfortable bed. The bed pillows were two big for me, more likely suitable for a big man, with big shoulders. I had to get a massage to get the neck kinks out! This place is billed as "luxurious". I wish I had taken some pictures. There were holes in the wall that were plugged with toilet paper. The batteries in the TV remote were dead, needed replacing. The hairdryer didn't work. The safety deposit box could not be opened. Some of the slats of the window coverings were broken. Perhaps the owners have a different definition of luxurious. I would say the room was sufficient for the price paid. The room had a coffee maker, a small one that makes 2 or 3 cups. But the coffee filters were those for a 12 cup coffee pot. Likewise, the owners purchased Kirkland coffee in packages for a 12 cup coffee pot. That is not luxurious to me! It shows me that there is no eye for detail, hence "luxurious" does not enter into the conversation. On the other hand, one of the owners offered to call Uber for me, that was considerate.

United States of AmericaThe noise insulation in the place was one of the worst I've experienced. I could hear every step of the guests in the room above me and every time they dropped something, like a spoon. Even with earplugs it was hard to drown out the noise that penetrated through the walls and floor.
The room itself was clean and well maintained, and amenities were good.

United States of AmericaSteps. A bummer with a large suitcase. It is what it is though. Install a solution to keep the shower curtain up. It was very flimsy and kept falling. Theres a $10 gadget on amazon that stucks to the wall and supports the shower curtain ends. Try that.
Bed. Not too soft. Very comfortable Clean thoughout. TV had streaming accounts logged in (dont know if on purpose or in error, but came in handy!) Water: Hot! Quiet! Bright Parking: free!

CanadaThe room was noisy. You could hear neighbours in the stairwell and every step of the neighbours above us: coming in late at night. There is also a nightclub nearby that you could hear the pounding beat well past midnight. Some have commented about the planes flying over but that was not an issue. if you are looking for a place that is nice and quiet, it is not. We stayed three nights but were only given coffee for two days and tea for a day. As well the complimentary body gel in the shower was empty and we were only given a tiny bar of soap for the three days. The bottled water was nice in the fridge but again not provided other than for one day. I had to approach the housekeeping staff for more tea, water and soap. They did not service our room at all. This was described as an inn, but it was not. it was an apartment building with renovated rooms for guests. We paid extra for housekeeping and parking.
It was conveniently located to Balboa Park and downtown for walking.

GermanyThere is not much that I wouldn't like about this place. Maybe only the landing airplanes sounds might be disturbing for some people, but I didn't find it problematic.
The studio is very cozy and clean and located perfectly next to San Diego's largest Balboa park. Everything is in close proximity, so I enjoyed a lot of walking around. Downtown is near, and so is Hillcrest with all the fun places. The apartment itself had everything needed for a perfect stay - huge sized comfy bed, towels, bath accessories, and all other necessary items. Checking in and out were self - and stress free, as you get the access codes for all the doors.

MalaysiaLocation right along Sixth Ave. Walking distance to Balboa Park & San Diego Zoo ($8 Uber if you don't feel like walking). 10-min drive to the airport. Beautiful room, very clean and modern. Getting in and out of the place was very easy using the code they emailed to me. Will definitely stay again the next time I come to San Diego.
