The apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable with easy access into the apartment and to the metro. Dan couldn’t have been a more courteous, attentive, and informative host without being intrusive. It was comforting to know his family and he were living upstairs, readily accessible if/when needed.

1) I bumped my head a few times. Nothing serious but something to beware of if you are around 6 feet tall. 2) A clock or two in the apartment would be useful additions. 3) There was a door at the top of the stairs leading upstairs that was closed shut. However a dead bolt on the basement side would be a reassuring addition. 4) The HVAC system is loud when running.

We are a family of 4 adults and liked the location. A Safeway grocery store, halal food outlets, a mosque and coffee shops were about 10 min walks away. The apartment was spacious and we put an additional inflatable mattress in with ease. There was a large and clean bathroom. The apartment was also very quiet and peaceful. There were welcome snacks and also coffee k-cups and creamers for use that were much appreciated. Dan communicated very well. He gave directions to off-street parking that we used.

The guest suite was lovely - nicely arranged, with comfy furniture, and very spacious. The location was easily reachable by public transport (7min walk to the nearest underground station), and there's also a few grocery stores reachable by foot (7min - just next to the underground), so it was all in all extremely convenient. The host was very friendly and accommodating, and check-in and check-out were a breeze.

The hosts thought of everything we would need, and the suite was very clean. Communications were sent to us prior to arrival, summarizing location, parking, and wifi info. A guidebook was available to provide important info about wifi and food delivery. The location was very convenient for exploring, with nearby metro access.

It was in a great location. Close to the metro and it had parking. There were easy guidelines to follow. Communication was good. Snacks were a great touch.

The apartment was very dark (basement) and we did not have access to the yard. It would have been nice to have a place to sit outside, either in the front or back.

Nothing really to complain about...The things that I had concerns about, I brought up to the host and they quickly resolved them.

The location, cleanliness of the apartment, all a little extras (from the electric kettle, toiletry items like shampoo/body wash, soft toilet paper, etc.). I was in town for a conference with a friend who was also attending with me. She slept in the bedroom and I slept on the futon which they had prepared for me in advance. Everything was comfortable and the host quickly responded to any messages I had. This is definitely one of the best experiences I've had and would come back here again. I highly recommend this host and their 1 bedroom basement apartment! It was a bit warm when I first came but I asked that they put the air on cooler, which they did. It was super convenient to many locations around DC and had shops within walking distance whether it was safeway, organic grocery store, or fast food. As I mentioned, I was very pleased with my experience.

It was pretty cold without heating. the host said we could ask to turn the heat on but I didn’t feel like asking. also the soundproof quality is quite low so you have to keep your noise down and you can hear the hosts upstairs too.

Everything is thoughtfully arranged and very clean. The host does a good job of accommodating your needs, even had a bottle of wine in the room. also free parking spot.

The A/C / Heater unit is located in a closet there. While its working could be a little bit noisy.

Nicely renovated basement apartment. Very clean and cozy. We traveled with our kid, so there was a spare futon ben available for her. There is a 15 minutes walk to the nearest metro station. There are nice little restaurants in the area.

Very clean apartment with comfortable beds. It was excellent having free parking on site. The hosts were wonderfully communicative through the Booking.com app – everything felt very easy. The apartment is close enough to a metro station for easy access to the city. It was touching that the hosts left me a bottle of wine and some snacks to welcome me to the property.

There was not really anything that I didn't like. Make sure you are aware that the hosts do live above the suite. They do have little ones, so you can hear them from time to time but that was never a bother for myself.

My daughter and I spent the week for a couple of hospital visits. The location and neighborhood was great. There are a couple of Metro bus stops right on the corner from the suite. It was the easiest way to get around without driving. The hosts were great. They were super accommodating and always responded in a fast timely manner. The suite also provided private off street parking. I will definitely stay again if I ever have to return to the DC area.

We really liked everything this apartment had to offer. I would say the street noise and occasionally the metro noise is a bit much at times but we found a sound machine app on our phone and were able to combat it. It's not very loud nor is it all the time, but I was just not used to it.

The apartment is a very cozy basement apartment. We enjoyed having our own space while away from home. The host and family were wonderful the entire duration of our stay with multiple messages asking if we needed anything. The location was also great as we were just a short walk to multiple restaurants, Safeway, and the metro. We would absolutely stay here again and plan to when we revisit.

The place is clean and perfect for 3 - 4 group. Host was quickly responding to msgs. His guidance is really helpful. location is convenient to DC sightseeing. Really great that there is a separate parking for the rental.
