Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe room was quite small, which in and of itself was not a problem, but the walls are very thin, so noise from adjacent rooms and those above was a bit much. The tub shower has no safety rails, important because I slipped in the shower and ended up on my back on the floor. The tub when wet was very slick, and with nothing to grab on to when I slipped meant I had no way to keep from falling. I luckily just have a few bruises, but I fell inches away from the bathroom sink, and had I hit my head on the sink the outcome would have been much more serious. I encourage the hotel to install safety bars/rails.
The staff was friendly and courteous, and the room was nicely decorated. The bed was quite comfortable.

United States of AmericaExtra money automatically charged for food I didn’t want. Food was mediocre and overpriced in the restaurant. We came to SB partly to check out different restaurants. Didn’t want to pay for a restaurant that we had no interest in.
Nice room, valets charged my e car each night! Pool was nice, if a little small. Close to Butterfly Beach.

United States of AmericaWe were very disappointed in the rooms- especially for the price. They are in dire need of updating- frayed bed frames- can see padding underneath- looks 20 yrs. old- worn dressers. Very small bathrooms but we managed.
Restaurant is very good. All staff are excellent and very willing to accommodate needs, answer questions. Location very good.

United KingdomIt had noisy roadworks outside which was unfortunate. Also a busy Highway the other side, but you didn’t notice it.
It was in a good location near the beach and close to the highway. The hotel was clean and efficient and good value.

United States of AmericaBecause it’s older the bathroom was tiny. Not usually a problem but we were there for a wedding so took a bit of planning to get ready etc.
The location was good and the property has lots of charm. The food at the restaurant was very good. The pool area was beautiful. It was too cool to be in the water but a nice place to lounge. The bikes were a nice addition as a way to sightsee.

United States of AmericaYou’re paying for the Montecito location so don’t expect a bargain. Rooms - at least in our older part - are cozy with some pretty beat-up furniture and fixtures. And yes, bath rooms are very tiny, one person at a time - in ours the door scraped the toilet seat when it closed!
Great location in walkable upscale ‘village’. Pool and hot tub good for family, good fitness room. it’s an old hotel, cozy and charming and a bit worn but clean. Beds very comfy, tho room clean is by request only. Noise at nite wasn’t a problem for us. Friendly staff. A big plus - our 3 generation fam of 5 had adjoining rooms with connecting door!

United States of AmericaBathrooms are a little dated and I could clearly hear the people in the room next to me.
Location very convenient to the party I was attending. Room was comfortable and to my surprise received an early check in which I didn't expect. Easy access to the restaurant from the lobby for breakfast. I was able to walk to anything I needed which is a big plus when you are in a new area. Worth taking a walk to Butterfly Beach taking in the scenery and ocean air. I only stayed on night this trip so can not speak to the other amenities of the Inn.

United States of AmericaI didn’t like how close the property was to the highway. The hot tub was a strange green color and didn’t seem clean.
I liked the vintage feel and history of the property. I love that they had complimentary bikes for us to use. I like that it was close to Butterfly beach and the main area in Montecito. The staff was friendly and helpful.
