Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomRoom was rather small but the upgraded room was apcious and moderm. Breakfast was only a la carte and healthy options were a little limited for our kids.
We were travelling with kids and one night a very "considerate" guest from another room has decided to smoke and the smell was omnipotent. We called the reception and they were very accomodating. They moved us to an upgraded room and hellped for a smotth transfer! The pool area was really nice and the barman was excellent. Be warned: it is a very popular hotel so it can be crowded at times!

RomaniaGuests with back pains/problems will not appreciate the rather soft mattresses of otherwise very solid beds.
Monteleone is a hotel that maintains a classic approach to the hospitality business. A time traveler will not be able to guess the year, every detail give the sensation of vintage, in the positive way. The hotel is located at the limit of the French quarter, not directly involved in the more loud and colorful section, but close enough to get there in a matter of minutes. A special mention for the very efficient staff.

United States of AmericaSmall negatives: - The pillows were useless, they just mashed down into nothingness. - The shower situation was outdated; climbing into the tub to shower is dangerous. - No makeup mirror made it difficult to get ready. - The temperature regulation in our room was capricious - full blast vs. no air were the choices
- Location was awesome. - Every single staff member was lovely and helpful. - The doormen were stars! - Housekeeping was excellent. - Loved the old world charm! - The Carousel Lounge was the best, and the bartenders were so nice and fun. - We had the best time ever!

United States of AmericaThis classic hotel is in a great location in the French Quarter. The traditional rooms were comfortable but on the smaller side. These rooms are quiet as they don’t face the street. The rooftop pool was refreshing. The breakfasts were excellent.

United States of AmericaParking was a mess.
Location is excellent. Room was very good. Check-In and check-out--very easy. Valet car service was not great. It took too much time to get our car and the garage is very tight with cars coming in/going out. Valets did their best, but they needed an extra set of hands. Restaurant/bars should have areas reserved for hotel guests.

United States of AmericaThe carousel bar was so busy and overcrowded, we were unable to experience that option.
The breakfast was delicious. My husband loved the eggs Benedict and the presentation was pretty. We used valet parking and called Uber or walked to locations, since the hotel is in the middle of the French Quarter.
