The water pressure in the shower was pretty poor (Room 1)

The room was modern and very clean! The beds were very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful! We really did have a lovely stay and it was nice to sit outside the bar and watch the world go by with a drink! We felt safe and secure during the whole visit.

Our only complaints were some very minor cleanliness issues - a few little dead bugs in the shower and some ants in the room.

We were so excited to find a room that would fit our whole family! The family room had a queen bed, then a door to another room with 6 individual bunks, complete with electrical outlets, reading lights, cabinets for their stuff, and curtains on each bed that could be shut for privacy. Our 6 kids thought it was the coolest room they had ever stayed in. We also enjoyed the pool and outdoor areas. The motel was so cute and remodeled in such a fun mid-century modern style. When we got there we were pleasantly surprised to find out they offered one free drink per adult per night in the bar in the lounge. The motel has deals with a few local restaurants for easy delivery to your room, and it's walking distance to some cute little shops and restaurants as well. The staff was very helpful and friendly and eager to help out whenever we needed something.

Water spilled from shower onto bathroom floor. Small staff so when clerk had to use restroom doors were locked. No note on door, just the closed sign

The DJ music on two of the three nights was way too loud. One night we were sleeping directly across the terras, with the speakers pointing toward our room. The loud rap music kept booming into our room until late evening. I appreciate a nice party, but a Motel is used to take a rest for people passing through. In that case, I prefer a night's rest over a party night.

The pool, the decoration of the room, and the ambiance were amazingly great! It all matched the 'old' Route 66 vibe :-)

I had picked this motel because it had second-floor room options but we were given a ground floor room and couldn't be switched to the second floor. Our room had a bolt lock but no manual bracket locks, which I did not like since the motel is adjacent to such a busy street. Checking out was confusing as there were no staff around to help us, and when I called the front desk number a woman at a different motel picked up.

Simple motel. Large room, easy interstate access if you are just passing through Albuquerque as we were. Good sized, clean pool.

Nothing really. Met all my expectations.

It’s a great little motel on Rte. 66. It takes you back in time to a world less hurried. Nice little pool and cocktail lounge and had music on a Monday night.

Like sister motel El Vado around the corner, there is now an emphasis on the social space (read: bar) where the check-in used to be. This is ok, but does mean that sometimes when they have events you may have to scrap for a parking spot, which can be frustrating as a paying motel guest. Unlike El Vado, the public space is also not segregated at all from the motel space, so if your room is closer to the bar, you will likely not be able to get any meaningful rest until the event is over because it is just too noisy.

I had stayed at the Monterey pre-renovation, so I knew the rooms would be spacious, but we weren't prepared for HOW spacious our King Room was. This was very welcome after a week on the road in fairly cramped lodging elsewhere. The room was also very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Overall, the upgrades were well worth it, and the price per night is reasonable for this level of accommodation.

The room smelled like mold and I could notice that there must of been water damage to the floor. mini fridge rattled all night. Bed was too soft. Room 1

A/C did not get that cold but it did get 100+ every day that we were there so it was understandable. Hot water and water pressure could have been better.

We liked the old school vibe of the Monterey Hotel. Monday night Happy Hour with the DJ was a great time. You should try to run specials for the local crowd to bring that same energy to Momo's Lounge all the time.

The bed was not made properly and there was no mattress pad/cover over the mattress 🤢 The sheet was not pulled down over the bottom of the mattress so my feet were on bare mattress! Yuck. I was tired and got over it. The shower head in our room needed some tightening. We just used it as a hand held. The pool apparently doesn't have hours, so there were people swimming at midnight. We had just gotten there but I can imagine it may have bothered others.

We booked a family suite that included a queen room connected to a room designed for 4 individual bookings with 4 full sized bunk beds. Really cool room. The 4 bed room does not have a bathroom but there are full bathrooms down the way that lock and can be used. Towels and everything. This was great while traveling with 2 adult children! My youngest son (10) said this was the coolest motel he's ever stayed in. Probably true. Very cool and trendy place. Modern and attractive.

spotty internet/phone thermostat not keeping up, was hotter inside room (80) than outside (73) shower design not adequate to keep water off floor plug to refrigerator coming across front, rather than receptacle being placed behind (probably codes violation), dangerous.

Would have given a 10 except the front desk was closed Saturday (sounded like a scheduling issue) and our room keys stopped working. Took a while to get someone to assist and then there was an issue with the booking. Everything was sorted fairly quickly.

Room was very nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. Location was perfect as it was close to Old Town so we could walk there.

The amount of traffic/road noise. We had the room on the end, and with the cars going by, we were constantly awoken.

The rooms were updated and clean. Staff was friendly. Liked the patio area/bar. Ordered pizza, and had it delivered, and ate on the patio. Comfortable beds.
