Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

There was a big party going on that woke me at 2:30am. It wasn't that big of a deal though.
The owner recognized me from my last stay and made me feel very welcomed.

At the price, we have no complaints.
For a two night stay, this was fine. No frills, but clean, quiet and comfortable. Not far from various eateries (5 minute drive maximum). Main tourist attractions (Gettysburg National Military Museum - fabulous) easy to reach. Good value for money.

One of the lights did not work in the room. There was no breakfast, even if just continental which would have been nice to help get the day going.
Check-in and out was easy. The room had enough bed's for what I needed. The shower was in great condition, much needed after a long day in the sun!

I have stayed here several times over the past few years, and I am always pleased. The front desk staff could not be more pleasant, everything is spotless, and the accommodations are not luxurious, but very quiet and comfortable.

At one time you could tell the hotel had some pretty good amenities. The pool area was still there but has been shut off. You could tell also that at one time they probably served a breakfast of some kind, but now coffee only. Our room had a few issues. One of the beds the headboard was about to fall off the wall. The bathtub drained extremely slow and the sink faucet you had to get in just the right position to get it to stop running. To be fair, we reported all those and the manager promised to fix them all and the 2 other couples in our group did not have any issues with their rooms.
The hotel was easy to find. Overall it was kept well. Others in our group had good experiences with their rooms.

The building is old and worn. The pool was closed and they only had a complimentary coffee machine in the lobby. This is bare bones as it can get. The bathroom is laid out weird with the wash basin in the main hotel room.
The price and location were great. The hotel is clean. Plenty of parking available. I was looking for a place to sleep and this fit the bill fine.

I miss the breakfast options at hotels these days but with the savings it was worth it.
We booked a return trip to Gettysburg and also a return trip to this hotel. We stayed there several years ago. It is a solid value for the basics. Don't expect any frills, no breakfast or pool but if you need a quality room it fits the bill. Easy check-in, clean comfortable room, and located near the area attractions.

There were many open rooms. A new guest arrived and was given the room next to mine. Please place their room at least across the hall or down the hall a little bit in another room. Luckily, they ended up being quiet guests.
It's clean and fairly priced! Nice location for where I needed to be for a conference.

An extensive cleaning is needed: shower curtain needs washed, blankets need to be replaced, the hairdryer needs wiped off along with all door knobs and light features, and the bath towels could be a little more thicker.

Tub can be slippery, no grab bars in the bathroom of regular room.

The pillows are completely flat with no cushioning at all, so be sure to bring your own This was my third stay at this location I'm about as many years and the pool is ALWAYS closed Getting in and out of the parking lot can be a pain due to it being on a very busy road. That's not the hotels fault though.
