Despite booking in advance and using the resorts website to research before the trip, no notifications were made to inform that two of the main features would not be available during the stay. The Hillside room was conveniently located just a staircase away from the upper pools. Unfortunately, the room is also heavily soiled, and desperately and negative a deep clean. Though some of the renovations were nice, they were inconsistent. The cushions on the chair were severely soiled and stains on the carpet along with embedded debris, likely are not able to be gotten up by a vacuum. Due to the other pool closures, I only use the infinity pool. The creek side and cascade pools were heavily populated due to the other two pools being closed. Many people also did not utilize infinity pool for very long because the temperatures were too uncomfortable to tolerate. As a person who enjoys very hot soaks, it was even too much for me to tolerate for more than a few moments in the water at a time even in 50° F.

The location is beautiful. They have many well-placed areas to enjoy the beautiful mountain views. Despite being off the beaten path, they also have a lot of amenities available at the resort including a general store and equipment available to use.

Separate lines for those who have pre-paid and those who have to check out. They should triage and have a sign or someone telling those in line, "if you've checked out of your room and re-paid please just drop off your room keys here" and not make us wait in line. It would be helpful to have additional reception staff during peak check-out and check-in times as they were also answering phones in between checking people in or out of their accommodations. Leave more coffees and creamers than are currently left in the room. It would be nice to have plastic bags for wet bathing suits in the rooms and the locker rooms.

I love the calm of the place and how down to earth it is. The food was very nice at the restaurant and the servers were wonderful. I love the variety of pools and we were there during the week so it didn't feel crowded.

Nothing I really didn't like. Just some comments as a suggestion. My room at the Hillside was a bit dated, but it came at a much cheaper price than the cabins. The toilet with the shower was very small. However, I hardly needed the latter as the showers in the spa are just marvelous. A larger fitness room with more equipment for strength training would be a great addition.

Everything! The staff was extremely friendly, especially Ms. Elanya provided excellent advice on possible hiking activities. Snowshoes and poles could be borrowed for free. My room at the Hillside location was clean and comfortable. Room service restocked water and coffee capsules daily. The bathing facilities at the hot springs are just amazing. Breakfast and dinner at the attached Mary Murphy Steakhouse were always excellent, the waiters were friendly, and the prices were reasonable.

Not a big deal, but only one source of water in the room… the bathroom. Only mildly inconvenient. No warning about the winter sun, so I will… wear sunscreen, a hat, and if you are really fair skinned, a thin, long-sleeved shirt that covers your upper torso sufficiently. That is true even if it is cloudy or snowing!

Beautiful. Comfortable. Relaxing. Great front desk help. Thank you, Cody!

This was our third stay and we always have a great time. We usually rent a cabin but had fewer people so rented a deluxe room that was cliffside with amazing views. Staff is always nice and facilities are clean. Make reservations at the resort restaurant if you want to eat there. Buena Vista is a 10 min drive with plenty of dining options too.

There was garbage down by creek of the hot springs, more than one location 😞. The showers in the locker room "hurt", not relaxing after a nice hot springs experience. The fan in the cabin was covered in dust and did not look clean.

The breakfast was wonderful, delicious food. The cabin was cozy and cute, great location cabin 7 to walk to the hot Springs. Good value for the stay split with another family. Pretty location

The wifi didnt qite get to our cabin which was quite the bummer for our gamer son.

The hot springs were AMAZING. They had several pool as well as the natural pools by the river. I loved that there was an adult only pool so we could relax without the joyous rambunctious of the more youthful guest. We made a dinner reservation and ate at the restaurant in the main lodge. The food was so scrumptious. I had the scallops and they melted in my mouth. My less adventurous teenager had the bison burger and he raved about it. Overnight it snowed and snowed alot. When we got up the roads and driveways for all the lodge area were promptly beeing cleared and paths to the hot springs tended to as well.

Only two things: 1. The beds in the luxury double suite were very hard and the blankets are thin and made from a material that makes lots of noise when you move. Restless sleep for everyone. 2. There is only one primary eatery within 40-60 miles of the resort and that is the resort restaurant that has exorbitant prices. Dinner portion sizes were a little scrawny but the breakfast was delicious and seemed a little more fair as to price/portion point.

Gorgeous area and the creek side hot springs are beautiful and worth the trip.

The signs inside the resort are deficient and inaccurate. Super dark at night. Rooms are a bit "minimalists" but ok.

The natural hot spring at the creek is really a unique experience, and the heated infinity pool offers a great view. We stayed for lunch, and the food was delicious. Staff was also very cordial and accomodating

The bridge from the cabins to the main all ages bathhouse is awkward, not sure how that could be fixed. Coffee in cabins is terrible, however that is same at almost all hotels. Coffee in restaurant is fantastic.

We loved the natural hot springs and the natural pools beside the creek. Going from the cool creek to hot springs was a treat for all. Restaurant was excellent. Facilities and sporting amenities were great.

The lighting in the cabin is very dim in the kitchen and bath, which makes it feel older. They definitely need a bright light! The rest of the place is in great shape. The 3 soaking tubs on the adult side have a VERY bright light in each of them, which I think MPHS really needs to address. I understand the lights need to be on for safety but maybe they could put a dimming cover over the light or some less intense lights so you don't lose the effect of sitting in the dark and star-gazing. Light pollution out there is very minimal but it's tough when a bright light is shining right in your eyes. (Maybe they could swap the cabin bathroom lights with the hot tub lights?) And finally - a note to Mount Princeton: please get your booking system straightened out. I booked a room for 2 adults, three 16 year olds and a 17 year old (who I think is considered an adult) on Booking.com. I specifically included the ages so my kids could access the adult section which is 16 and over. When we arrived, we were told the booking was only for 2 adults and they wanted to charge me $15 extra PER PERSON to give them bands for the springs. I was able to pull up my reservation and show the lady at the front desk it was booked properly and she still would not honor it or give me 16-and-over wrist bands for my teens. When the paper printed out, the correct number of people was on the printed reservation and she STILL would not honor it, telling me that kids were listed as "young children". She gave some excuse about a "glitch" in the booking when we used Booking.com. Not my problem. MPHS needs to fix this issue and not make it the patron's problem.

We stayed in a cabin with 1 bedroom and a loft - it looks like a big log cabin. We traveled with 3 adults and 3 teens; the loft was perfect for the teens, and the third adult used the pull out couch which was super comfy because it was a memory foam mattress. There is a little kitchen with a full sized refrigerator, stovetop and microwave. It was stocked with basics and our teen boys made pasta the night we stayed. For some reason, our cabin was on top of a condo so there were some pretty steep stairs to climb to get to our cabin. I felt a little sorry for people below us since I had 3 boys clomping around, but luckily the springs wore them out and it was early to bed. Our cabin (#10) was less than 50 yards from the entrance to the adult side of the hot springs which was great! They brought us plenty of towels and bedding. Just be warned, it may say on Booking.com that a rollaway bed or cot can be added to the room; it cannot. And make sure to book for the correct number of people because the cost includes wrist bands for the springs for everyone in your party. Also, there is only 1 bathroom for the entire cabin, so we all used the locker rooms in the adult spa to shower; they are much nicer than the bathrooms in the hotel and cabins. We did get a parking spot with our cabin. Definitely work your way to the creekside pools which was is always our favorite part of the springs!!. But beware that it gets crowded on 3 day weekends. We were there over Presiden'ts day weekend and all creekside pools were taken by 1030 or so. There are steam rooms in each adult locker room, plus a communal one but the communal one was out of order during our visit so we didn't use.
