The hot tub made it pretty humid but other then that stay was great

Parking gets a bit tight when cabins are full. That very welcome hot tub can also be noisy as it's in the room and it heats all day. It's not obnoxious and not an issue if you're not in during the day, but I did notice. Definitely preferable to not having it or having to go to an outside hot tub, and not enough to ruin my trip, but something to be aware of.

When we first arrived, I was concerned about being off the river, but it turned out great. You're far enough off the strip to be able to get in/out easily, but also within easy distance to park entrance and all amenities. Had a big snow storm come in during stay and staff got pathways cleared and salted quickly. Room size was perfect for what it included. Bed comfy, all kitchen apps worked, private hot tub very welcome at the end of the day. This is on the list for next time coming up to Estes/Rocky.

Loved everything!

This was our second stay at Mountain Shadows Resort and we loved it as much as our first stay. Very romantic cabin with a fireplace, hot tub and very comfortable bed. We got to see wildlife out our window each morning. Charles was very helpful at check in. Good and fast communication any time we had questions and at check out. We plan on making this our annual retreat.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful and gave us several recommendations that were spot on. They invited us to join them at a campfire where we got to know them better. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this place to family and friends.

Hot tub pump runs for a long time each day, so if you’re staying in the cabin during the day, it’s loud and hard to ignore. Chlorine smell from the hot tub was quite noticeable, would have been nice to open the windows.

Clean cabin with comfortable bed. Owner was responsive and offered lots of information about the area. Great location for getting to RNP.

The hot tub takes about an hour to warm up to a good temperature after turning it on. Maybe this is due to the mountains cooling the water in the area, I'm not sure. Make sure you turn on the hot tub and turn it up to above 100 F an hour before you want to get in it.

The bed was insanely comfy! The sheets were so soft! The fireplace was a dream! Location was also great. Staff provided good recommendations for where to eat. Also loved being able to see the mountains out of one of the windows.

Wonderful location. The cabins are clean and well maintened. Owners are really kind, offering hiking equipment, gathering guests for the evening, giving tips for the stay. Close to the National Park, supermarket and other facilities.

• The rooms are very basic and simple • Really bad internet access • Kitchen is underwhelming • Description is a bit overenthusiastic: no flower gardens are in front. Instead, there is a dirt access road • It was super hot in the room (due to the hot tub). Even after we turned it off, the small window A/C unit could not cool down the room and get rid of the humidity enough for a comfortable night of sleep. • We could not cool down the room (we did not want to leave the A/C on while out), and also, we could not keep the door open since there was no net to prevent flies/mosquitos from coming in. • All in all, who would build a large hot tub in the middle of a bedroom? That's insane. You could probably get a better place for the same money.

The location was fantastic, we loved how close we were to the city and national park but far enough away to feel like we were still in nature. They were also able to accommodate a request to have chocolate covered strawberries in our room to celebrate our 25th anniversary.

Great location 5 minutes drive from RMNP. Cabin was nice and clean, beds were comfortable, and hot tub in the room was very convenient! Nice little porch with table and chairs was great for chilling and enjoying the scenery and weather. Pam and Charles were great hosts and very helpful. Would definitely recommend!
