Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI understand you designed your rooms to encourage guests to spend time out of their rooms, but some simple changes would have made our stay more comfortable. 1) add hooks by the sink for washcloths and hand towels, 2) add a second hook outside the shower so that two people can hang their towels, and 3) add a chair so that you can sit somewhere other than the bed to take off your shoes. Finally, pulling underwear and socks from under the bed or my suitcase was uncomfortable. The closet and random hooks on the wall were helpful, but I wish we'd had a small chest for our small items.
The hotel location is excellent, with plenty of terrific restaurants and easy access to the subway. Since the rooms offered no place to sit or relax beside the bed, I was grateful the lobby provided a comfortable place to sit. The rooftop view was spectacular, but the roof area was noisy and packed when we tried to enjoy the view. The staff was accommodating and responsive.

United States of AmericaThe rooms were very small. We barely had room to walk around the bed. There wasn’t a table and only 1 small chair. It made it impossible for our family to spend time together in the room. Lastly, the shower/toilet setup was a little odd. The doors for both were practically see through. Looked modern, but not very practical when sharing a room with family.
We liked the modern decor and the lounge area behind the lobby. We enjoyed having coffee and pastries in the morning and drinks at night.

United States of AmericaToo expensive for a tiny glass of wine at happy hour and storebought croissants in the morning. Room was nice but not worth $700 per night.

IrelandThe breakfast was ok, but some more options, esp healthy options, would be appreciated e.g. yoghurt, granola, more fruit choices (note: the choices are pastries, muffins, boxes of oatmeal).
The Moxy is a comfortable and stylish hotel in a perfect location. I recommend it highly. I arrived after a long flight and Stephanie put a smile on my face with her friendliness and helpfulness. She and Annie and the bar staff, whose names I didn't catch, were always professional and courteous and made me feel welcome. The hotel is beautifully designed, including the bar and the room I stayed in. The gym met my expectations, based on the photos. I also hadn't known about the $25 per day credit included in the price I paid - perhaps I should have known, I assume it was spelt out somewhere - so this was a nice surprise. NB that amount is enough for one cocktail or for breakfast (juice, coffee, oatmeal came to almost the whole $25).

United KingdomThe overpowering incense smell in the lobby wasn't nice. The breakfast was entirely sweet items, cranberry juice, muffins, snack bars and fruit.
It was a very well appointed room overlooking the bridge, the sound of the trains is a low hum which I found soothing and not a problem whilst going to sleep. The rooms are well designed and the beds comfortable.

United States of AmericaJust a note for non-couples, the shower and toilet are separate rooms with frosted glass doors and partial wall in the shower. We found that one person had to leave the room to give the other person privacy to shower and dress.
The á la carte menu was a quick way to start the day-piece of fruit, small yogurt, granola bar, coffee, juice, but also had the option of going to the counter for other hot beverages, bagels and pastries which a $25 daily credit covered. Lounge/Lobby is beautiful with great music.

Puerto RicoRooms are way too small, they didn’t clean our room even when we took down the “do not disturb” sign, the phone to call the front desk did not work and had to go downstairs for any questions/requests. Toilet and shower doors are glass; hence, no privacy.

AustriaWe traveled with a normal large suitcase and couldn't open it fully in our room since there was not enough space for it. With a weekend bag it's no problem, but for suitcases the room was not spacious enough.
The staff was exceptional and friendly and the rooms were super clean and comfortable! The hotel was in a nice neighborhood with lots of shops and little food stores and in walking distance to two metro stations (~10 min.). The complimentary breakfast was simple (coffee, juice, granola bars, muffins, yoghurt and fruits), but enough for a good start in the day.
