Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Czech RepublicDaily spend deposit should be explain better. I asked several times and still was not clear to me if 30 dollars is per room or per person and if should be spend each day or as a sum for whole week. Same, if it is included in accomodation payment or will be charged on top of it. I tried to find it also on website, no info, neither on Mariott nor booking.com. Seems need to be improved as many people also mentioned it in their reviews. Also we were charched by 5 dollars for bottled water, but this bottle one day disapered from the room, believe me, it was not drinked by us.
Great location, great view, tasty meals, modern design

Perfect location for exploring the whole of Manhattan. Especially nice to be close to the High Line. Nicely designed room and decent size. Free coffee and credit for cafe/bar was a perk!

Bed and pillows are amazing! Great shower also. Room is tiny but mighty. Love my room view. Having the 2nd floor bar and rooftop makes the whole experience a perfect one.

United States of AmericaIt seemed like quite a bit of the time, there were only one or two elevators in service so the elevator would fill up before it reached the ground floor and people would have to wait for another one. Also a bit awkward to have the sink in the middle of the room.
Can't beat the location in the heart of Manhattan's vibrant Chelsea neighborhood, close to lots of shops, restaurants, and centrally located for ease of getting around the city. All the pegs on the wall were actually quite helpful for organizing clothes and hanging up toiletry bag.

United KingdomSpent a week there but on two seperate evenings we were not allowed entry to either the lobby bar or rooftop bar. On both occasions this was due to private reservations. As hotel guests I do not see why our experience should be restricted while the hotel makes more money by renting out its facilities. I’m assuming that part of the hotel price is apportioned to the paying of bar staff? So, I as a guest funded a private party. Also, we we restricted from taking drinks we bought in the only other available place (the cafe) back to our room which is not a good hotel experience

PortugalThe room could have been quieter - heard noises from the hallway quite well The sink was clogged You have to pay $30 per day to use it at the hotel (drinks, food, etc.) if you don't use it - you lose it

CanadaElevators like most NYC hotels are frustratingly slow and always busy. Wait times can be 5+ mins. Even if you are able to check in early they charge $50

SingaporeI had requested for a late checkout, but the housekeeping team went to my room 3x before my checkout time was up. Although they were polite, it was irritating as on the 3 instances, the staff acknowledged they saw my late checkout time, so I don't know why they kept checking in -- one even barged into the room without knocking and checking if someone is inside (iSn't that protocol?).
Located in the vibrant neighbourhood of Chelsea, at the flower row and close to Koreatown. Such a unique and colourful vibe, and just walking distance to midtown and downtown. Nice finds in the area: restaurants, cafes and a Trader Joe's. The front office manager granted our request for a higher floor and it had amazing views of the Manhattan skyline. Much appreciated.

United States of AmericaWe booked a City View King room and it did not have a side window as in the photos here, which was disappointing. The water from the shower leaked into the toilet floor and we had to wipe it with towels. We could not visit their rooftop bar as during the weekend they have a $80 entrance fee. Wish they let hotel guests go for free, as it is presented as part of the hotel amenities.
The hotel is located in a great location. The views are great, the lobby & bar are very stylish. The pillows and bed were very comfortable and we slept well. There is good noise cancellation and we did not hear neither street noise, nor neighbors. They gave us a $30 credit to be used in their bar or for breakfast, which was very nice.

FranceWe were 3 people in a standard double room with 2 double beds and it was not comfortable. The beds are made for 1 person. The room is really small. This isn’t a fault of the hotel I’m just mentioning this in case somebody is considering doing the same.
Depending on the purpose of your trip this could be an excellent location. Especially for first time visitors. I prefer Soho area but for my friends who wanted to walk around all the sights this was great. It’s spotless. It’s newly furnished. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are fine. The room is rather compact but well thought out. No waredrobes but plenty other places to put things. There are couple of bars and a coffee shop which are part of the hotel which is very useful and we spent a lot of time in those. We stayed on the 8th floor and we didn’t hear any noise from the club on ten top floor. It is pricey but so are all the other hotels in manhattan.
