Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaWe had the quad, 4 bed room on the 17th floor. The bathroom was not cleaned well. It smelled like cat piss. Dirty spots noted on the toilet. The shower has a lot of grim and residue. The quad room bathroom has a glass wall and a sliding door (larger gaps around the frame) as a result there is little to no privacy when you have to use the bathroom.
Central location. Daily $30 credit at Moxy bar and bakery.

United States of AmericaHaving snacks available for late night snacking other than the vending machine would be nice. That way you don’t have to leave the hotel. The room doors are heavy!
The location is in Times Square but not in the heart of it. It’s about a 5 block walk to the main area of Times Square, so it is a bit quieter than being right on top of the square. Very nice facilities with two good restaurants/bars and decent rooms.

United KingdomNeeded to pay $50 to get an early check-in even if the room was already made Hotel is situated in a busy area of manhattan and you can hear street noise from your room so not the place for you if you are a light sleeper.
The large café/bar/work space on the first floor is great for anyone on a business trip wanting to do some work at the same time as escaping their room. Room has everything you could need, with a good adaptable layout. Breakfast voucher for the café next door was an unexpected bonus, only wish the opening hours were slightly earlier so I could have grabbed something before heading to an early meeting. Hotel provided a complimentary room upgrade

SwitzerlandBreakfast options very limited. It resumes to a hot drink and a pastry. Cleaning was promised every other day, yet we had to ask for them to come and clean on day 4, as nobody came.
The location of the hotel is perfect, with walking distance to Times Square, and easy access to the subway station. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful, although sometimes difficult to hear what they say due to the loud music.

GeorgiaThey don’t accept Apple Pay and virtual cards, however it is not mentioned anywhere on the booking page. I personally don’t use physical cards at all anymore, and thanks god my friend who was traveling with me had some money on her physical card. Otherwise I don’t know what we would do. So this kind of thing should be mentioned explicitly. Other than that, everything was good, it might seem overpriced but if you compare to other similar NYC stays, it’s actually reasonable.

United KingdomRooms are very small but it does advise this on the website but I think we underestimated just how small they were . We booked 2 rooms and one was fine but the second room the bed was squeezed between 2 walls and my husband who is 5ft 8 could not stretch his legs fully out so take care when booking , may need to request a larger room if needed. Apart from this everything else was fine
Central location ,very helpful staff, modern rooms. We had a problem with noisy pipes in our room and we were moved immediately with no problems .
