Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaCoffee situation was terrible: automatic maker in room with "creamer." I'd prefer pre-made drip coffee and cream available in the mornings in a communal area.
Great view of mountains and positioned in downtown for easy walking.

United States of AmericaCheck in. No one on site but it worked out. It was just a little confusing. Not sure how to change that but it is not a deal breaker. Will still recommend staying here.
Perfect location, clean, updated place. Very good value for the money and location. Check in was a little confusing but it worked out. They send an email explaining the process. There was someone available by phone thankfully, because we were given the wrong room number. I will definitely stay here again!

United States of AmericaMissing a desk with a cushioned chair.
Oldest commercial building in Leavensworth. Historic and remodeled to look and feel rustic-like but with some modern amenities like mini-frig, microwave, shower, sink, and Nespresso like coffee maker. Our room was very unique where we had a front door with a window facing the street with a front porch and a back door that leads to the back parking. The antique-like design even included hangers made of lacquered tree branches with wires through them. The bathroom fan was strong (and thus loud) with a sink outside. The bed was adequate. Contactless check-in had a very detailed and accurate direction so check-in was easy. The assigned parking was adequate in size for my plug-in minivan. They respond quickly to questions on booking.com. They said there was no plug for charging but there was one present for spaces #4,5,6. First come first serve on charging. Bring an extension cord for spaces 1,2,3. The location was 1 block from the central street, so all the downtown restaurants were easy to walk to from the front door. The housekeeping staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a wall lamp malfunction and they were able to have an electrician fix the problem within a couple of hours on a Sunday. Wi-Fi with a strong signal. Extra towels and coffee pods in a common area. Did not turn on the TV. I would stay there again.

United States of AmericaThe light bulb over the bed for reading was out and the kitchenette could have had better quality utensils, cups, plates and dish soap.
The location was great. The quaintness of the building was charming. It was affordable and we might stay there again. We enjoyed the book selections.

United States of AmericaTrying to enter the hotel and even the bedrooms weren’t very simple. We had to call the phone # on the front door to get assistance. The walls are paper thin and we can hear the people on the other side of us phone vibrate. And the parking situation was a bit confusing. You’re really only paying for the location staying here.
The hotel was in a great location! Surrounded by all the shops, restaurants and bars!

United States of Americawe were traveling with my father-in-law who booked his room by telephone. they never told him there would be no front desk staff and everything is done through lockboxes. they have no staff on site. they never emailed him the instructions with the code to his lockbox either. he dropped us off and went to grab us some food and his phone died. he didn’t worry because he figured he’d find someone there who could let him in. this meant my family spent an hour trying to find him, as he had no way to call anyone and he had been unaware that there would be no one to greet him. they’ve basically cut the cost of having staff and yet, not the cost of booking a room. luckily we finally found him, and after we charged his phone and scoured his email, saw he really never received an information email. I had to call and ask them to send the email so he could get the code to his lockbox. my father-in-law is 70+ and resented this system— he is not phone savvy and had we not been there he would have been locked out. there was no number to call posted. you end up having to rely on yourself for the hospitality, with no real break in the fee. this fiasco ate a lot of time up in our overnight getaway.

United States of AmericaThe check in process was okay, self check-in. The parking situation could have been explained better. You have one spot and it is in a dark alley behind the building. I was concerned with theft as there was very little lighting and our spot was secluded across the street. There is NO ONE available if you need help or have any concerns. They give you a phone number to text, but when I texted, I didn't think I received a response, but saw the next day they had sent me an email. I assumed they would text me back, so that was my misunderstanding. I may have misread the description, but I was under the impression there would be some kind of continental breakfast. There is only a Keurig in the room. Also, the setup of the bathroom was very odd as they have renovated an old historic home. The bathroom vanity is very deep making the mirror over an arms length away. This made it difficult to apply makeup and for my husband to shave as the mirror is way too far.
Love the location, right in the heart Leavenworth, within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. The room was decorated adorably with an antique theme. The bed was comfortable.
