We didn't like that we had only one night.

Host Steve greeted us with a welcoming smile. He gave us an amazing tour of the place which relaxed us immediately after driving 4 hours. The bed was so comfortable. His granola was the best I've had. The Koi pond was wonderful.

Dog needs training not to jump on people. Happened three times, almost knocked me down. Shared bathroom was not always conveniently available, couldn't leave accessories in it.

    Great art, great breakfast

Location was great since we were driving from SFO towards the Oregon border. The breakfast was homemade granola and yogurt with fresh fruit and really nice coffee. Steve (the lovely owner) gave us a tour of the whole house and showed us all the art he has on display there, which was very unique and interesting. We also liked the garden with koi pond - the fish were tame and used to being hand fed. We only spent one night but we would definitely recommend it!

We loved everything about our stay. The art was engaging, the garden and Koi pond mesmerizing, the bed was great, the host was so welcoming, the place was spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was so tasty. Central location, wonderful neighborhood with fabulous pizza close by. We wished we had had more time. Thank you, Steve, for all the wonderful touches that made our stay so pleasant.

    Nothing to not like.

This was a last minute find and we feel lucky to have met Steve. the basic exterior hides a near- museum of unique art and touched, highlighted by the hosts enthusiastic demeanor and delicious breakfast. The backyard featured a relaxing koi pond picnic table, seating and floating lounge bed. Super cool place!

    Nothing bad to say.

The breakfast was exceptional with homemade yogurt, homemade granola, and fresh fruit. Our host, Steve, was very friendly and personable. He made my significant other and I feel very much at home without sacrificing a feeling of respect for privacy. My significant other and I are not from the area and Steve was able to make some excellent suggestions to us about great places to visit for sightseeing, eating, and wine tasting. I would recommend a stay here to anyone who has an appreciation for art in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

Easy to find, nice walkable neighborhood. Friendly and helpful host who was able to accommodate for an early check in. He had recommended a local music venue which turned out to be a highlight of our trip. His homemade granola and fruit breakfast was delicious and the koi pond enchanting. Art everywhere was wonderful and upon knowing we enjoy live music, created a display of his photography from 1980’s concerts! The Sisyphus table was designed in the form of a yin/yang when we checked out. Very comfortable bed. I highly recommend My Big Art Project!

Breakfast was fabulous, fresh fruit, granola, yogurt and coffee. Steve was a warm and wonderful host, and the art displayed throughout the home was source of wonder and inspiration. The back yard landscaping, picnic area, koi pond and hummingbird action was a major bonus.

I didn’t like the marijuana smell from outside in the middle of the night.

The breakfast was great. It was homemade granola and yogurt with fruit. Good portion and healthy! It was filling and tasty, a good way to start my day with lots of meetings. Steve is very friendly and nice! The room is quiet and clean. Fun and beautiful arts through out the house! It’s better than I expected!

Our room could use a darkening shade for the window to block the yard lights better.

Quiet neighborhood and inside at night as well. Having a coffee pot in the room similar to a hotel was nice. Very friendly and accommodating host. He can offer suggestions on the area if you ask.

Steve was an excellent host- he made us feel like we’ve known him forever! He has created and collected a very impressive art collection - and our favorite was the Sisyphus coffee table. The location is perfect - just a short walk to downtown Santa Rosa and easy access to Hwy 101. Steve is a long-time resident and provided great suggestions to wineries, eateries, and cool places to visit in the area!

What a beautiful, peaceful spot - and walking distance to downtown Santa Rosa! The house is truly unique: spotlessly clean, with beautiful wood finishes and amazing art everywhere you look. The room came equiped with everything I could ever possibly need. My only regret is I couldn't stay longer!
