Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThis was our 3rd stay at the Nicollet Island Inn. Each visit was great. Comfortable rooms, great bar and restaurant. We have stayed in rooms 309, 205 and 201. Worth noting, room 201 backs on stairs. Could occasionally hear footsteps, but brief and not a disturbance. Also, room 201 had a mini fridge, nice surprise.

Loved the architecture and the area. Pictures don't do the place justice. Very quaint place

Historic and stunning location on an island in the middle of Mississippi River. Beautifully decorated and windows all around dining area! Was able to walk to along park area and go to film at nearby theatre. I hosted a birthday brunch for my close friends and then spent the night @ inn! Wonderful memory!!

United States of AmericaOnly would have been better if we could have stayed longer.
The inn is beautiful and we loved the histric character and ismall size. We didn't have breakfast at the inn but had dinner in the restaurant. The food was delicious and the atmosphere of the bar and restaurant were lovely. Beautiful view, attentive staff - we felt well-taken-care-of. Our room was wonderful - loved those huge shuttered windows that opened to a romantic river view. Inviting linens and nice toiletries. We had a great walk in the morning along the river. The location was also so convenient to our event- a 3 minute wait for an Uber and a ten-minute ride there.

IsraelEverything was excellent except the air conditioner. I could not controll the air conditioner from my room. Eventhough it was winter, sometimes the airconditioner cooled the room instead of heating; I had to call the front desk everytime this happens. The lighting in the bedroom cold have been better.
I really liked the hospitality of the staff. The decoration of the bedroom was also good. They cleaned my room regularly. Both the bathroom and bedroom were very clean and equipped with necessary stuffs. If I were to visit Minneapolis again, I would be happy to stay at the same hotel (Nicollet Island Inn) again.

FranceThe hotel is a bit far away from the metro (15-20 mins walk), and the room was not perfectly clean as I found a bug (small cockroach?).
The staff was friendly and very accommodating, I was able to check-in 3 hours before the usual check-in time. The room was great, the bed comfortable and the WiFi was working great. The shower was especially good compared to other hotels.

CanadaA bit dated- and our room had loud and powerful vents that could not be diverted that pumped hot and then cold air directly into our faces while in bed.

CanadaBeautiful Old Historic Inn in a great location. I didn't give them a great rating for amenities, but that is only because the restaurant and bar are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, a leftover from the pandemic

United States of AmericaMaybe make it free? No other ideas! Exceptional!
We were in town visiting family and friends so didn’t eat at the restaurant, but it was certainly crowded every night. Next time! Truly exceptional option for people traveling with pets. Most hotels in the city are in a cement jungle, but Nicollet Island is part of the Minneapolis Park system, so there are good options to exercise your dog! Comfortable room and bed and all of it! Will choose this Inn for future visits!
