Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content

- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Safety of luggage as the wall chains were thin and looked easy to prise open. It was obvious I would need a padlock of which I then had to purchase from the Nap.
The location and the pod was good. Staff pleasant too especially Cy.

THere was nothing I didn´t like, but if I have to comment some things: staff could have been friendlier (they are okay, not rude or anything, but they don´t want to talk with you) and price was a bit high, but this is NYC after all.
Great place to sleep quietly in the middle of the city - do not expect a social hostel or a place where you´ll make friends, Nap York is more a place to relax, enjoy the city during the day and have a safe place to sleep at night. I stayed in the 2 bed female pod and the room was spacious, nice and comfortable. The bathroom was nice, although it had some mold on the floor (nothing too serious). Storage space was okay. Bed was comfortable and big, although I thought it was a bit different from what they should you in the pictures. The curtain is a nice touch and it gives privacy

No mop in the bathroom, and at least a small garbage by the sinks. There was one in the bathroom but when someone was in I couldn't throw away things, cotton pads and such...
Location is fabulous, and frankly I felt quite safe even in the night.

The quality of the towel was not the best, and a hairdryer is not provided. The code panel for my room did not work perfectly, so it was a bit noisy when people came in or out.
The location was the best. The price is very good for the location and the value. The beds are really comfortable and well designed so it feels that you have a private space even though your are sharing room.

Nothing, I was only there for two nights, so it was perfect for me.
I really liked the location! It’s close to Columbus Circle, which is one of my favorite areas of Manhattan! I liked that the beds had complete privacy. I liked that there was a small kitchen with a fridge and microwave. I liked the chill out music they had in the common area.

It can get too warm inside your bed so you would have to open the curtains for some air however now you have less privacy. I wish there was a small fan inside the bunk.

This turned out to be one of the most expensive accomodations I ever stayed around the world. Well it was Manhattan. The baggage storage after checking out did seem awkward. I could only leave my suitcase in a public area by the stairs, only secured by a metal chain. I was glad that I did bring my own lock for that purpose.
The location was superb. By submitting information online in advance, the checking in process took only a matter of seconds. All the staff I encountered were polite and greeted me. There was an elevator so I did not need to carry my suitcase up the steep staircase. Facilities such as kitchen, bed, shower were clean and well maintained. The bed curtain was a big plus, which gave privacy and blocked out all the light. The locker in the room was big enough for a large suitcase. Room access was by entering a passcode, so there was no key or card to look after.

Despite being called a “nap station” in which noise is almost zero, it’s quite noisy. Noise from the street (nothing to do about it), but also from people (maybe reinforce the rules?). The lockers are inside the room (making noise with people getting ready etc) and the doors are heavy and loud (especially bc people do not care in closing the door properly). Anyway, minor things. I recommend the place, but just make sure to have a good headphone to sleep.
The location is great, super close to Times Square, Central Park, and you can also walk to some museums. The beds and bathrooms are super good and clean. Very nice to have a floor just for female, I felt very safe there. I would be back and highly recommend.

Lockers didn’t come with locks, bathroom smelt a little bit damp and inside the room so room mates can hear you in the bathroom.

No seats in the dorm to sit. Also, the railing to go on the top bunk is from an industrial plant or something. It hurts your feet to climb into the bunk. Digs into your feet. Needs padding or something
