United States of America1 review“Not a cookie-cutter chain hotel”There's plenty of parking in a lot behind the hotel, but it is a bit further away. It wasn't clear whether parking on the street or in the side lot was OK.
Rooms have been recently renovated and have very nice decor. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was spotless. I liked the coupon for free breakfast at the colocated Denny's (I got a coupon for a free drink at the bar too). Staff members at check-in and check-out were friendly and helpful. Good value, and the place has character.

A great experience in this renewed downtown hotel. We are not gamblers so getting through the casino is the only thing that was an issue. Great historic room.

Wonderful retro hotel stay. Clean secure and fun. Didn’t really use the casino, but still fun retro atmosphere. Expected the left over smoking smell but it was not.

Great location, lots of parking, nicely remodeled room from what the "frontier" room probably looked like years ago. Interesting decor in the halls. Good selection of TV channels.

Yes it smells like cigarette smoke in the lobby, and the vibe is definitely 1950's casino, but that's what I wanted and that's what I got. The rooms are small but very functional. We had no problem with noise, but next time I'd try to get a room not right on US 50 if possible. Free drinks at the bar on arrival and free breakfast in the morning. A fun experience. I'd do it again.

The Dennys breakfast was a grand slam. The staff were friendly and any issues you might find there are due to management choices regarding maintaining equipment and freshness of some food.

Rooms are being updated but the one we had (Ingrid Bergman) was still in an 80s decor and was fine, Large room , nice view, pictures and bio of Miss Bergman on the walls, and quiet. Tiny bathroom with very old plumbing gives the place character and charm. Super clean, well appointed room and breakfast at the onsite Denny's was included. Check-in staff were so friendly and welcoming, a great place to stay especially if you enjoy a retro, non-corporate hotel.
