Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe heater didn’t work in our room. The bathroom paint was peeling and chipping. The walls are thin and we could hear our neighbors kids yelling all evening. There were no dishes at all even though we had a dishwasher in our room. Half the staff was nice the other half acted like we were a burden. For the price we expected a luxurious stay when in fact it was no better then a cheap hotel experience.
The location was great

United States of AmericaIt wasn’t necessarily dirty but it definitely wasn’t clean. During my visit, NYC was experiencing temps in the 10° range and the room temperature was way too cold. I turned the heater to 80° but never got warm. Sleeping was tough in the freezing room.

South AfricaHousekeeping was poor didn’t replenish our free 2 water bottles or tea and coffees, didn’t swap out the face clothes and clean the shower, toilet, microwave or vacuum the carpet for the first 3 days. Also the bedding was torn. After reporting it at the front desk Anais the housekeeping manager then corrected it for the rest of our stay but still was not up to the standard of a 4 star Hotel hence we didn’t see the value for money.

United KingdomTV's were rather antiquated... not a great choice of channels and constantly interspersed with buying a movie on demand. No Netflix which surprised me too. Remote took a long while to change and it always went to the home hotel channel first. Would have been nice if they could include china mugs and a couple of plates and cutlery as having a kitchen in the room. I went to buy my own. Breakfast being included in the package did not work out very well as was told at end of the stay that it only covered a certain amount of the bill and anything you had above that price was charged. It was rather overly priced to start with and had no prices on the set menu which was always handed to hotel guests so we had no idea of what we were paying for. Resort fee was similar... only included a couple of glasses of wine in evening for an hour and all the coffee you wanted but I didn't like those coffee pods and would have preferred to have a kettle. (You need boiling water in particular to make tea for UK visitors at least). Don't think the charge of $57 a day justifies what they provided. I fortunately had that included in my package although had to spend an hour with them over the bill where everything was charged although I had paperwork to state breakfast, taxes, resort fee was all included. They had me down for watching a movie which I didn't... I could have clicked on it by mistake due to the nature of how the tv guide was designed but I certainly didn't watch any movies. Was told by reception that it needed to go on my bill regardless as they needed to check with the movie company! Still waiting to hear the outcome as wasn't settled by time I left.
Room was as it looked in the photo so was pleased. Had a little kitchen which I found useful. Bed was comfortable and curtains/blinds very good. Service maid changed sheets/towels every day which I found good and reacted to the sign you put on outside of door to indicate if room was ready or not for cleaning.

United KingdomThe only one thing I would change if I could, was the sliding glass door to the bathroom. we were a family and our daughter was sleeping in the lounge on the pull out sofa, so a proper soundproof door would be a great idea. Everything else was great.
From check-in to check-out our stay was incredible. The front desk staff were incredible - thank you! Happy hour in the lounge was a great treat after walking all day around manhattan. breakfast always delivered on time, fresh, hot and scrumptious. For a busy city like Manhattan, our corner suite was extremely quiet.

United States of AmericaI didn’t not like anything! I do wish there was a paper with a clear description of what “comes with the room” & how you go about using those services/get them.
Loved the style, the vibe - it felt like more like a private residence building than a hotel (even liked the carpeting). The staff was always very pleasant!

United States of Americawe have stayed here 3 times this being the 3rd. We live in NJ and come to stay at 48 lex when we need to stay over for anything in NYC. past two times were wonderful especially our engagement night on new years eve 12/31/22. expected nothing less this time but was so dissapointed. from check in, the girl at front desk was not nice and not helpful, not one person came to help me with my belongings, not even hold the door open or hold elevator. they saw me struggling with cart. asked the girl who checked me in a question and told me “ I don’t know I have only worked here 4 weeks” and didn’t even ask her co workers next to her for answer nor did they bother to answer. bare bare necessities in room. was also not clean like other times at all. actually stayed in this exact room first time we stayed and it was dirty this time. the garbages were on some kind of towel looking dirty thing. the bathroom not clean. super super dissapointed for paying NY rates for less than 24 hours and receiving terrible service. at checkout Rachel was very attentive and willing to address my concerns. she even remembered me from my previous stays. I will definitely be finding another hotel to stay at when we need to stay the night. this hotel has sentimental value to us and it’s just been ruined.

United States of AmericaJust wish the price would have been a bit lower. Although the room was great and we got the "city view", it was still small and we could just see mainly the building across the street.
Loved the location and staff the most. My mom couldn't stop raving about the wine hour, that was a nice touch before our broadway show. I really liked the free delivered breakfast too. All of it made for a great NYC trip.

United States of AmericaOverall entrance and Reception below the value. For New York I expected something more than just standing personal with no proper front desk. Breakfast was stated continental Breakfast while I had a coffee with muffin not food or least Breakfast egg, milk, something even I paid 325 dollars. I choose this hotel sole for Breakfast offer, but I and my spouse truly disappointed. See my pictures for breakfast Room pictures were not clear as stated in the advertisement, premium king room below the expectation and standards. I had other options in well know hotel, but chose this hotel only for location and room view. Shower hot and cold water tap is ridiculous, it is so complicated to use, because 2 handles and you got either very hot water or very cold 🥶. Do not understand how management installed such a complicated cranes in showers in hotel. Was very angry during the taking shower. Or should be some signs. Overall, I did not satisfy with staying with this hotel and do not recommend 😑 anyone to stay at this overvalued price. Reach me in case you need my real feedback.

United KingdomThe restaurant was closed, the breakfast was very limited (and served in the room), one room was particularly chilly as the heating system did not seem to work and the housekeeping missed another room so it wasn't cleaned. It is feeling a little disorganised, unloved and tired.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.

United States of AmericaThis isn’t a glam five star hotel, it’s just a normal one. There was nothing I didn’t really like! I wish there was a freezer.
I needed a quick and close place to stay for a couple of nights since my Manhattan apartment was having a pest issue. I chose this hotel and I loved it! I honestly could have lived there lol. I have traveled to all kinds of five star hotels and was pleasantly surprised at the cute environment this place had. It is very secure and in a good area of the city, you even need to scan your key to get to your floor which is nice. The included breakfast was so cute! You can fill out a card and place it outside your door and they deliver it in the morning. I thought this was extra, so my first night I didn’t get one. When I realized it was included, I was so excited to get it in the morning. You can select what time you want it dropped off. I picked 6:30-7 and she came right on time. I got a caprese sandwich and a tea and it was great! Everybody was friendly to my dog. The staff were beyond lovely. The front desk lady even called me to make sure I got up to my room okay. They were over the top kind. I wanted to stay longer. It was the nicest hotel staff I have ever interacted with and I’ve stayed in all kinds of hotels— five star everyhwere. I needed a quick hotel because my apt was having a pest problem. I’m so glad I chose them. I’ll deff refer people who come visit me to it.
