Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaOn inferior floors, the noise and brightness of the billboards can disturb a sensitive sleeper. Make sure your windows are closed tight, and the shades are pulled.
The hotel is well-placed and clean, with all the amenities you would expect from a five-star hotel in NYC. You have a loading zone in front of the hotel that you can use for debarking. Although crowded, the staff was patient, explained the options calmly, and answered all our requests during check-in. The hotel lounge is beautiful and transforms into a social place at night. You can use Angelina (an excellent Italian breakfast and coffee across the hotel) for breakfast. For parking, try using SpotHero—within 5 minutes of walking, you have plenty of safe options. There's a Walgreens for the rest around the corner. The internet connection is stable, and there is an excellent signal across the hotel rooms and the lobby. This would be among our preferred choices for NYC 5-day stays for the right price.

United States of AmericaOne of the elevators to the lobby was out of service so that made for a really long line coming and going to the hotel floors. The bar was closed during breakfast so we could not use our voucher for a bottle of water when we headed out for the day
Room was very nice - great view of Broadway. Easy check inn and room was ready early. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable front desk staff. Easy Checkout- was able to do it on my phone. Room was spacious and had plenty of storage for clothes and suitcases.

United States of AmericaBar staff was lacking and time it took to get drinks purchased wasn't effective. There are only 2 elevators from floor level to lobby, and that's not nearly enough to accommodate guests. We had a line at the elevators almost always.
Great location if Time Square area is your focus. Several very great restaurant/bars within steps of the lobby. Hotel was clean and staff were courteous and helpful. Close subway access was another benefit.

Saudi ArabiaOur room was small compared to the other hotel we stayed at Downtown. But it worked out well for our family of 4. Breakfast venue is quite limited, so you may end having to wait if there’s a crowd. They don’t provide bottled water. You need to have your own bottle and fill up at the dispenser located near the lift lobby of each floor.
The hotel boasts perhaps the best rooftop bar in Midtown Manhattan. You a close enough to have a clear view of Times Square, but at a distance which provides some peace and quite away from the hustle and bustle of the area.

AustraliaThere was nothing we didn't like, although we did not take up the offer to arrange a "lift" for us to the airport (JFK). It was not going to be cheaper than other alternatives and to pay with a card would have been 10% extra. Not saying it is dodgy, but given the flat rate policy of taxis to JFK it felt like someone other than the passenger would benefit from the 'service'.
The room was very comfortable. The property has a great view of Times Square. It is modern and clean with great services. The concierge gave perfect instructions for the subway. There is a fabulous bakery across the street (Angelina's) and we bought coffee and pastries from there most days. Best of all was the location. Absolutely 10 out of 10!

United States of AmericaFirst room was a disaster "2908" broken lights, framing around bathroom door, but once we mentioned it the hotel made it right immediately.
Hotel location is amazing, if you are into the nightlife, hotel lobby always has something going on at the bar. Rooms were a good size for new york standards "1506". Room service was prompt and friendly and gym facility was nice and clean. Loved the $10 per day discount to use at the bar or buffet.
