Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

My daughter and I came for a long weekend. I researched many hotels and I like the photos and the reviews were pretty good. The room was spacious I thought and relatively quiet. There was an old phone or intercom in the bathroom next to the toilet that was a little weird. The bed (a king) was big and comfortable however I wished for another pillow. There was not a sheet, just the comforter; I tend to run hot sit I was constantly pulling the covers off and on. Last I wanted a plug by each night stand to plug in my phone. Those are tiny things, and I would recommend and stay there again anytime. I enjoyed the staff, professional yet helpful and funny. The lobbies and hallways were beautiful. Great spot!

United States of AmericaI did book through Booking , my sister just by the web site ; we asked to be on same floor and the girl at reception made it obvious that my reservation was under a different code .. which made me feel a bit embarrassed ! Then they changed my card with a different charge ( apparently the fees and taxes , when on my reservation it was included)they fixed it after complaining
Clean , well centered , very comfortable

United KingdomOne wall backed onto service elevators, that creaked as they passed. Not a big issue, as quiet at night, and very intermittent. Mentioned it to front desk, who said they would tell engineers. Being charged $25 for a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, at the bar, plus tax!
Entry level room is big for New York. Well appointed, Bath, separate shower. Modern, good aircon. Quality sheets and towels. Helpful staff. Was upgraded to superior King. Excellent, smart, comfortable lobby

New ZealandWhy is the bedding provided not aligned with the air conditioning? The duvet provided is far too warm for the room. A lighter blanket was provided promptly on request. The hotel also DEDUCTS their security bond from your credit card and does not release it immediately. They do not disclose this at check in to help you ensure that you use the appropriate card. We ended up having USD deducted from our currency card and nearly four weeks later are still waiting its release. As this is not the standard practice for these card holds they need to be much clearer.
Nice location for midtown and quiet room. Appreciate a good shower. Internet was good.

United States of AmericaSounds like such a minor complaint. But for the price of the room, there were NO hot pots/coffee makers in the room. when I asked at the desk, they said there is coffee or tea in the cafe down the steps. However, it took to the 2nd day for the hostess to tell us, there was complimentary coffee/tea around the far side of the bar. The first day, I felt that I had to buy the coffee at the cafe and ended up buying breakfast-which was very good. Like I said a minor complaint.
Very convenient in respect to the play we were attending, easy walking distance. The place was clean.

United States of AmericaRoom near elevator, on 45th side of building and nice king size bed were great. Asked for foam pillows and we were accommodated. We like that Meti and Nick were returned to the Bar Gaby where we have been served by them for 7-8 years (they survived COVID).

United States of AmericaIt’s a bit pricey. They do not give you waters when you ask for them. There should be a place where you can grab a cup of water in the lobby or a bottle. They make you go to your room where they will send someone up to deliver you 2 boxes so you can tip the delivery person . For the price you are paying, give your customers some WATER!
I have stayed at this hotel before. The quietness , the type of customer and the ease of service make this my type of hotel. It is just the right size . It is not pretentious but has style. The towels and bedding remind me of Europe . I love love that we can crack open a window for air. The lobby is soothing and inviting yet chic.

United States of AmericaThe room was very dated, very old bathroom. No bottled water/ coffee / minibar in the room. It’s more of a 3-star hotel in that regard. As long as the price reflects that, it’s fair, and good value compared to other manhattan hotels.
Location is great, beds are fine, restaurant was not bad for grabbing a breakfast/casual dinner.

United KingdomOvercharged for an upgrade which wasn’t available and local taxes which had already been paid. Money taken without any warning or explanation. This took almost two weeks of constant requests to get refunded. Very unhelpful with this and a disappointing way to look back on an otherwise lovely stay.
