Staff at Reception unwilling to assist when our booking was messed up despite my having sent at least 4 emails prior to our arrival. I was told that a manager would reach out to me to discuss the reservation mess -up but no one ever contacted me during the stay. Several of the Reception Staff were quite rude and not particularly helpful or friendly. No tea or coffee making facilities or water in the rooms.

Hotel images are misleading in booking.com and other sites. They make it look like there is a rooftop bar - which there is not. Not a major issue but it could be made clearer that the images are of a select few ‘suites’.

The restaurant and bar close at 10. No room service after 10 either. No access to beverages or ice or anything in the evening. Just plan for that.

Perfect location for broadway and all midtown attractions. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast in the restaurant a few time, very expensive but worth the price.

The noise level on Saturday night. I guess there is no way of knowing when guests are checking out but between the people coming in at 2am and the people going at 4am I got zero sleep.

The staff who welcomed me at 2:00am with efficiency. Location is great. Hotel is a little outdated but I still love it. The room service, the slippers, the amount of counter space in the bathroom, Balmain, the magnifying makeup mirror, having a bathtub AND shower option the featherbed etc.

Strange breakfast policy. There is only one basic menu included. If change, it becomes fastly more expensive! Advice: bf outside, saving about 40 USD per bf.

It would be good if can provide bottle water automatically everyday. Although they provide mineral water but need to make request to the front desk everyday.

The bed is very comfortable to make you fell asleep very fast. Location is good and you can take a nap after shopping. Staff is nice. Atmosphere is warm to relax on vacations.

I chose this place initially because it has bathtubs in the find as well as a shower. The tub was described as deep soaking/spa tub. It was not. Not for my 6'2" muscular husband who's only request was to enjoy a relaxing bath for Father's Day for all his hard work and physical labor. Lastly, the pillows were too soft for us. Felt like nothing was there.

Customer service was phenomenal. This includes room service, concierge, housekeeping, and the front desk. Loved the food ALTHOUGH more vegan or plant based options would be nice. I know it's French and French food is famous for it's rich cuisine so I was happy that there was healthy options for me to choose. Also the hotel itself is a beautiful hotel.

No water or mini bar option in room - unusual for a hotel of this caliber. Would expect at least a bottle of water. Also the late checkout rates seem excessive - $100 extra to checkout between 11 am and 1 pm. Half day rate up to 3 pm.

Sofitel is always top notch. Rooms are big for NYC, quiet and spotless. Fitness center is good, and great midtown location. Bed super comfy.

You no longer supply bottled water in the room that's a shame. Also no newspaper available. No lunch service - is this because of recovery from the Covid or the fact it was January? Woman at breakfast service was a little brusque, serving staff were great though

Like many hotels these days, beds were covered with only an insulated comforter, but no sheet. We were either cold or hot. Fortunately, the room thermostat worked, but next time we'll ask for a cover sheet.

Superb location. Comfortable and attractive lobby, nicely decorated for the holidays. Room decor was pleasant and clean. Not a bad view out the 16th floor windows of our two rooms. Very quiet.
