The location can’t be beat. The staff is amazingly professional and welcoming. The rooms that haven’t been renovated into blandness are wonderful. Trattoria Bianca is a great place for dinner.

We liked the room verry much, we had a Twin Double bed, the only small thing for us was the height of the toilet, that was quite low for us long European. The location was great, very close to the 2 main north/south Metro lines and the LIRR. I'm happy to book my next stay here again.

Too bad the side street entrances are not used. In mid-May I could have used a blanket on the bed.

Positive attitude and helpfulness of the front desk staff. House cleaners were pleasant and communicative. The hotel history display on the lower floor was very interesting, as was the identification and hallway display outside Nicola Tesla's suite on the 33rd floor. Guards on the main floor by the elevators were attentive and appeared to take their jobs seriously. The hotel has an interesting floor layout, different from being a couple of long hallways. The shower in the bathroom worked well. Thermostat worked swell.

The room was a little aged. Some peeling wallpaper and a piece of tile missing in the shower, as well as the faucet handle slightly broken in the shower. But it was clean and comfortable so we did not mind at all.

The hotel is in a great location, perfect for an event at Madison Square Garden. We were able to walk everywhere from the central location but there were also several subway stops right around there. Staff were so friendly.. absolutely exceptional which is most important to me.

Great location for visiting the various parts of New York. Close to the bus stop(s) and the transit station. The history of the New Yorker Hotel is very interesting, especially for us History Lovers!!!

I booked this hotel because of its location and historical charm (opened in 1929), so I expected some things would be old. The lobby and the rooms were beautifully presented and very comfortable, but the hallways were dark, dirty, and in need of some TLC. It certainly wouldn't be enough to stop me staying here again, but it did detract from the overall experience.

The location was great as we arrived by AMTRAK train into Moynihan Station. It was central to everything we needed. Diner & restaurants in the building, McDonald's, Starbucks, CVS across the street. The subway was right on the corner (A/C/E lines) and it's close to the Hudson Yards, the High Line and The Edge observation deck.

Was disappointed in the room. It was small and difficult to move around in, especially for two people. Might have been better for single occupancy. Don't think it was worth the cost.

The staff was friendly and helpful. So appreciated how they gave us directions to get places and ideas on how to accomplish our sightseeing endeavors. The restaurant attached had wonderful food.
