The toilet had some issues that affected our experience. We felt like we were being blamed for using too much tissue and clogging the toilet which was not the case. The toilet never functioned since arrival. Ultimately a professional plumber was brought in and replaced both the flapper and a seized water shutoff valve. Everything turned out fine in the end and we look forward to staying there again in the future.

The manager was friendly, accommodating and communicated well. The apartment was in a great location and had everything we needed for making meals.

When we arrived the heating system was turned off. Our first night the tempurature dipped down to 63F which was a bit uncomfortable. The second night we management. They walked us through the steps to turn the heating system on. This was a complicated process. Seems like we shouldn't have had to do this.

Not a ton of closet space but there is a chest of drawers. Try to pack light if going for more than a couple days.

This was my old apartment from 30 years ago so it was super fun to stay here!! The bed was comfy but covers were a little flimsy. The bathroom used to have its own thermostat and I definitely missed that when I showered. Brrr! Actually found the whole heating situation a bit confusing. I love most of the updates and of course the location is tough to beat. Lots of stairs with no elevator so pack light!! Cleaning lady we bumped into in hallway was friendly. Overall, this is a nice one bedroom place in a great location - close to public transport, shops, groceries - and a relative bargain especially if you do one or more meals in the room. I def recommend staying in one of the rear facing rooms - what you give up is the view but the rear is so much quieter than the front! I think if you can manage the stairs you’ll really enjoy your stay.

Roomy and bright, private and comfortable. It felt like a little apartment not like a hotel and not like an Airbnb. I didn't feel like I needed to interact with the host except by text, which was great because I had a busy weekend. They were very responsive and helped me out along the way.

The main door to the building would not close properly without quite a bit of work, therefore the door was often left ajar by others. While we felt safe in our apartment, this seems like something that should be fixed before something happens. The main lobby area seemed to be used for laundry bag drop off as well as someone’s personal packages. These blocked access to the stairs and exterior door and never moved during our stay. Not a great look and inconvenient to get around.

Amazing location, just where we wanted to be in the heart of Back Bay. Apartment was a good size for our group. Very clean and modern. Pullout couch in living room was very comfortable- not like a typical hide-a-bed. Nice to have laundry accessible.

No parking. This is not a good location if you are traveling in your own vehicle and need a place to park. This should be better communicated when reservations are made.

Great location, easy walk to subway access. Newbury Street itself has many shops and restaurant options.

3 flights of very narrow steep stairs with broken railings, very difficult to manouver with luggage and dangerous with the railings but if you fell you would land on the continual pile of laundry at the bottom of the stairs inside the front door. Had to climb over these bags of laundry that was always there day or night. Not sure what it was for because ours was never refreshed and it seemed like way more that was needed for 4 Apartments. It did not detur us however not professional for the price of the room.

Convient, modern, comfortable bed, all the amenities and clean.

No mention that apartments 5 & 6 are on 3rd floor, up 48 stairs and 3-ish staircases that are steep and narrow. Couldn't carry two bags up the staircase due to narrowness. When I reviewed listing, "stairs" we're mentioned under accessibility but should be front and center in description. Given we had a lot of heavy luggage we could have reserved one of the lower apartments even if they were smaller since we made reservations way in advance.

Amount of room and location were great. Nice touch leaving small bottle of wine. Unfortunately, the chocolate bar left for us had "bloomed" showing that it hadn't been stored properly.

As the facility is in the old building, there is no elevator, stairs only.

In the heart of shopping street with plenty choice of restaurants. Prudential Center, Subway and bus is in walking distance.

We arrived on a very hot day in July. The code did not work. There was a number on the door, which we tried multiple times calling and texting. The calls got cut off and we got no answer from the texts. We were basically left in the street with our luggage with no place to go. Finally, we dug up some emails from a week or two prior and tried to text a second number. That got a response with a new door code. So, a few things: 1. If the door code changes, make sure all guests coming in know the new number. 2. If you put a number on the front door for people to contact you, make sure someone is watching it. Or at least make sure the phone goes into a voicemail box. Otherwise, it is incredibly frustrating. We loved the location. However, the property is a bit tired. Part of the cabinet was peeling off. The kitchen was missing some of the cutlery. The washer/dryer was great.

Location is great. Once we received the correct codes for the front door (see below), coming and going from the property was very easy.

The only concern was that the windows weren't locked and there are fire escapes on the building. Windows should always be checked.

The location was safe and nearby many things to see and do for our Boston get away. Entry was easy and checkout was seamless. Appreciated the complimentary coffee and comfortable bedding.

It was noisy. The people upstairs sounded like they started playing a football game a couple of the mornings we were there. And I know it’s just a function of being in an urban setting, but it seemed like there were garbage trucks operating at strange hours.

Awesome location; great responsiveness from staff; loved having a refrigerator and coffee maker in the room.

Not clear that the “pull out couch” listed in the rental was a trundle bed. Did not stay stationary and kept rolling back under the bed. Perhaps ok for a young child but no one more than 80 pounds. Would have been great to have basic kitchen items included such as salt and pepper or cooking spray.

Location was stellar! Close to everything and convenient for all of our Boston adventures. Bonus that the T was a mere block away. Very clean, comfortable linens. Master bedroom was comfortable and had plenty of space for clothing storage. Great to have access to a small kitchen so as to meet the need of traveling with a family.

the apartment was too hot and note not to change it unsure about how to use heating. could turn it down and notch and leave instructions.

spotlessly clean. shower power was great. toiletries provided shampoo conditioner and shower gel and towels. small bottle of wine and note on arrival was a lovely touch. great communication. fourth floor - no lift if any mobility issues. beautiful apartment. excellent location right on street with shops cafes etc. arrived from airport and got the free airport shuttle bus to one minute walk away so excellent if flying in to Boston. no noise . double bed and sofa bed v comfortable and easy to pull out and put away. washing and drying faciliites and hair dryer. would definitely stay again
