Just be prepared and bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper- a train can be heard going by at night but worse than that a nearby dog barks throughout the night and a rooster is crowing from time to time. I am a light sleeper but I brought earplugs. I also brought an eye cover to sleep with- the heater/air unit in each bedroom shines the “temperature reading” fairly brightly all night. Another person in my group found it hard to sleep it was so bright. Maybe it can be turned off with the fancy remote control but it didn’t occur to me to look. The neighborhood looks a little run down but none of these things can reflect on the property itself which was in wonderful condition!

It was very clean. The couch and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and coffee was even provided. The heat and air can be controlled with little remotes in each room!

The neighborhood is OK but hardly scenic, and there's no yard to speak of. There could be a bit more comfortable seating. The stairs are a bit narrow and might be an issue for someone with mobility issues.

The host has clearly invested in the property to make it clean, hospitable, and comfortable. Three bedrooms, 1 1/2 bathrooms. Most of the furnishings are quite new. The kitchen has a fridge with icemaker, nice stove/range, microwave, dual Keurig/ground coffeemaker (and pods/ground coffee in cupboard). The beds are very comfortable and there's plenty of extra bedding. Washer/dryer with laundry supplies furnished. TV, wifi work fine. Heating/cooling is by several zone splits, which works well. Good water pressure in shower. Parking for 2 cars, maybe room for a third.

The house was a little tricky to find, but I think Google maps sometimes makes directions much more complicated than necessary. 🙄

The house was perfect for a small family getaway. There were plenty of towels and the beds were comfy. We liked having off-street parking. We had no trouble fitting 4 cars in the provided space. Having a washer and dryer on site was helpful, too.

the air condition is controlled by the owner he controls, when the air is on so the only issue is he is constantly shutting the air off when your not there or in the middle of the night to save power. leaving us hot. every time you text him he is fast to reply and turn it on, and very helpful. neighbors are very questionable and they are the cleaning ladies too so that was a little worry some. all in all it was okay. the owner was great and he can’t change the neighbors

Amazing renovation. Very thoughtful in every conceivable way. If I had to say anything negative, I would say the neighborhood was a little older, but I felt very safe and in a good location near restaurants and stores and very close to downtown. Awesome hidden gem of place to stay a few nights in Roanoke Virginia. Thanks for everything!!!! We will be back for sure!!!!

We had a little mishap on the step between the laundry room and kitchen. So heads up!

The only thing was the neighborhood looked a little sketchy. But I noticed that they are doing a lot of upgrades to the area and they are in the middle of construction on the streets. So once they get done with everything I believe it would have a better feel to the neighborhood.

The house was very welcoming! All rooms are fully supplied with anything and everything you needed. Even in the kitchen it had seasonings and all cookware. I appreciate them being so well detailed throughout the house. It had a very at home vibe.

Very clean and newly renovated place near downtown Roanoke. Great host who communicates well and made sure there were plenty of essentials and more available for guests. Deposit was returned. I'd happily stay here again next time in Roanoke.

There is nothing to not like!

This was one of the most pleasant away-from-home experiences we have ever had! The moment my fiancé and myself walked in, we were greeted by a fresh smelling, beautifully renovated home. It was clean, spacious, well laid out, as well as stress free. Everything you needed was there. The unit even had a washer and dryer! We also took a drive (it was raining that day), and the house was really close to everything. The owner of the property even left snacks, toothbrushes, and toothpaste out in every room and the kitchen! My fiancé and I were very impressed! We will be staying here whenever we visit Roanoke from now on! 11/10 property!
