The bed was rather hard and as a side sleeper that caused some problems.

Nothing really. I had some mobility issues (crutches) so the stairs were challenging but that wasn’t the property’s fault. Sheila accommodated me as much as possible.

Quintessential San Francisco Victorian. Quirky and well maintained. Lovely and peaceful back garden. The host (Sheila) is wonderful - very gracious and welcoming. Set the tone for all the guests who were very friendly as well. The communal breakfasts were always interesting. (The frittatas were wonderful too!)

The staff who work on the property should chillax, say hi and offer assistance in anyway. Too quiet and stressed. They could also wear uniform because I couldn’t determine if they were guests or staff.

I felt safe, comfortable, and welcomed. The property was clean, well decorated…the list goes on. The toilet in my bathroom even had seat warmer and a bidet. Like, who does that nowadays? This boutique bed and breakfast should be rated a 5 Star Bed and Breakfast all the way. I fell in love with the home. If you want to see and experience the San Franciscan Victorian Home lifestyle, this is it. Pick another spot in San Francisco, you are missing out big time. The owner of the property is so sweet and welcoming.

The room was located right by the kitchen and can hear guests talking while having breakfast. Not a big deal but if you're a light sleeper and don't want to wake up early this could be bothersome.

It is a really cute place and very comfortable.

There was no built in heating in my room. I used a space heater. For some people that could be a problem since it was noisy.

As others have commented the property is very unique being a historical Victorian built in 1891. The bathrooms were nicely renovated and I loved the “smart” toilet with the warm seat and built in bidet. The bedroom I was in was big enough with 3 large windows bringing in plenty of light. Breakfast was very nice and fresh.

Bedroom was not especially private—was situated immediately off the kitchen. You could hear other guests coming and going, and the host getting breakfast ready in the morning. The door is original and in no way impairs sound. Could hear every conversation on the other side of the door. Would’ve preferred a room upstairs away from the common areas.

Love the eclectic artistry and whimsy.

Electrical outlets could use some updating for “device-addicted” modern travelers so be prepared with back up chargers, etc.

Quintessential San Francisco property. Old, stately home (134 years old) owned and operated by a charming woman who greets all her guests like they are family. Antiques and art everywhere you look. Very comfortable and updated facilities.
