It's right under the Cantina, so it can be loud (movements upstairs) when the bar was open.

This is the first time ever that I walked into a hotel with a noise machine on and air plugs next to the bed. While I really appreciate the attempt, they didn't come close to drowning out the noise. I stayed in the "Sunset" room and up until midnight all I heard were chairs and tables sliding across the floor above me, loud laughter and conversation. The bar/restaurant is literally above the room. At around midnight, it was quiet and then I slept well. However, at around 7am I awoke to the voices from the next room over. I am not kidding when I say, I could hear word for word the other guests' conversation. To be fair, the night I stayed was the night before St. Patick's Day and the morning chatter was between a mom and her kids. If you are someone who doesn't mind going to bed late and rising early, then this place is great for the price and location.

Pros: Great location! Walkable to shops, restaurants, and even beach. The room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. Super clean. Check in was easy.

Loud Noise (chairs scooting across floor and banging) from the rooftop restaurant until about 10:00pm. Thankfully it closes at that time but the noise started up again at 8:30am. Don’t expect to get a nap or in room quiet time until about 10:00pm …..Also, most of the rooms are actually subterranean so unless you don’t mind people looking down and into your space, the blinds covering the window can’t be opened for light …..

The Location can’t be beat & Ambiance is cute & “Funky Surf Boutique”(Red/yellow & Orange are the general color motif ). Minka, the housekeeper is a doll!

This is a self-check-in hotel. I had not experienced this before. The check in was rather easy, but I missed having a person to greet us; to be able to ask questions; to contact if there was something wrong. I'm someone who gets up in the night to use the bathroom. The floors throughout the room were cold and bare. a few rugs would be an improvement. As far as amenities go, a box of tissues by the bed would have been nice.

The location was great for our purposes. Parking was provided and easy to find with the map provided. Accommodations were simple, but clean and pleasant. Even though our room was right on the the street, the black-out curtains kept it dark, and it was quiet. The bed was comfortable; nice TV with steaming stations included.

The noise from the restaurant upstairs is an all day deal. It stop from 11 at night and starts up again again about 0830. If you want peace and quiet this ain’t it.

The location was right in the center of everything you would need within walking distance.

The only thing I would say could you an update are the mattresses. My son's bed was foam mattress (but it was a full size), the queen bed's were old school. He had the most comfortable bed, lol. Other than that, this place is so great.

I absolutely love this location!! It fits all of our family needs and is so close to everything that we love in San Clemente. Highly recommend this place. Nomad's, of course, has an amazing restaurant, so it's super convenient for eating. The room was beautiful and we can't wait to return! Staff here is extremely helpful.

Finding a parking spot can be tough sometime.

The Property has a great vibe, bar and restaurant located upstairs. Walking distance from downtown San Clemente and the pier.

I suppose I miss not seeing front desk people or ANYONE instead of contactless service. Also, I could not get the Apple TV to work. I would say my tech skills are average but not terrible. I was lucky to find parking on the street but I got the last spot. My feedback would be much less positive if I could not find parking at that time of night (11 pm).

Very, very noisy. The hotel is located below a restaurant that's busy with customers then cleaning until 11pm. The restaurant sounds like living below a rail station. Further, the hotel has concrete flooring throughout so noise easily travels between rooms-- you can hear EVERYTHING...

The floors of our room were a bit sticky to walk on without shoes.

We loved the decor of our room and of the hotel. The attention to details was impressive, not to mention the spectacular colors.

The location (I walked to the beach), the big room and comfortable bed. The atmosphere. I recommend drinks and food at Nomads Canteen just at the back of the hotel. Great place to sit outside to have a beer and plan the details of your stay. Next time I visit I'll take up the surf lessons. I just hadn't had enough time this time around.

there is a busy restaurant upstairs and I was unable to sleep until midnight or so. it was horrible! they have ear plugs next to the bed, but they didn’t help.

rooms are located directly below busy bar/restaurant with little or no sound insulation. very loud noises till midnight and resuming at 8:30am. unacceptable conditions for guests. will never be back at this hotel.
