Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Non smoking room but had a slight odor; not too bad though
Very convenient. Spacious room. Fan/heat/AC kept room at comfortable temp and kept road noise out Old but clean, had space to hang clothes and for luggage I wasn’t sure if the bed would be comfortable but I slept great!

Motel is convenient to UMass. The accommodations were basic - no frills - but there was a mini fridge in the room. The rooms were dated and showed their age but were clean enough. Has the feel of an old time motel from years past, which I liked.

A classic throwback roadside motel with clean comfortable rooms. A very nice place to rest when traveling. Staff was friendly and the price was great.

It's a motel and I wasn't expecting much. A clean place to sleep which this place provided. It wasn't anything fancy. It is motel as you would expect. No complaint! Front desk guy was polite

The wifi was a little weak and hard to pick up in some parts of the room, but that was about all that I didn't like.
The North King Motel is a wonderful little spot with large, clean rooms on a safe, wooded lot near a key artery into downtown. The room rate was well worth what you receive and the staff are attentive and friendly.

The wifi here is always a issue. I have stayed here several times & only once did the wifi actually work. Again if you don't need the wifi it is a great comfortable place to spend the night.
Very convenient location & met all my needs. Not too fancy, but for the price it is a great value. Beds are comfortable & water pressure surprisingly great.

It was decent and nice to see that the owners are doing work to upgrade a few things like the bathtub surround. The bath fan didn’t work and the hanging light over the table was just in disrepair. But other than that it was clean, quite and comfortable.

Property is run down. Room definitely needs an upgrade. New bedspreads are also needed. Barely enough room to sit on toilet. Security lense in door is too high to look out of.
Woman (staff) was friendly, great and helpful. Happy to have fridge and microwave in room. Bed was comfortable. Place was quiet.

We booked two rooms, in one room the beds were not very comfortable. It was also not very well isolated, one could hear sounds from the neighbours.
We new we were to sleep in the motel on the road, it was 100% like we expected - parking right in front of the room entrance, simple facilities, just enough to spend a night while long distance driving. Easy check in and out. It was a bit old fashioned, but we also expected that after reading reviews and seeing pictures. Anyway, everything was functioning well.

Nothing!! It's a great value for this area.
Location was perfect for my needs. Staff always very friendly. I have stay at this motel many times & it meets all my needs. Great water pressure in showers.

The coffee maker didn't do a good job of heating up the water for my tea (that I provided - only coffee was offered by the motel). The bathroom (tub/toilet area) had a lot of stains and funky grout. I had a lot of trouble getting on their wifi.
It was a comfortable room with a fair amount of space and amenities for the price (like a microwave and a mini fridge) that I wish I knew was included in the price.

This place met my expectations. It is what it is. It does not offer all the things a chain hotel/motel has nor are the rooms updated but if you don't need or want that, it is worth the money.
This a great place for the money. No frills, no extras, just a fine place for a night or two. Good location near the highway and the senior community. Main room is spacious even with two queen size beds but bathroom is tiny. Good shower pressure tho! This is a very old place with no upgrades or amenities but again, it is fine for the money. Perhaps best suited for short stays (travelers heading though Northampton, construction workers etc...). Staff is friendly.
