Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaCheck in via video call was shocking and a bit confusing. The system was disconnected and the person on the screen had me try to reconnect it. We had slight difficulty finding our room, I wish we had been directed towards it however I understand because of the front desk being remote they don’t know the property. The jacuzzi was also much smaller than expected and our fireplace was broken in our room (however it’s possible they tried to avoid us having the broken fireplace as they didn’t want to give us the second floor right off the bat even though we booked it)
Really good value, spacious and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again despite the few hang ups. Great location and facilities.

United States of AmericaThere wasn’t a table and chairs only a bar-style high table and stools. There wasn’t any place to sit in a normal chair. Pillows were terrible. Bed was just so so
Great location in Incline Village.

United States of AmericaWe found out at checkout that the way the remote people know you are at the desk is that you pick up the phone. But there is no signage telling you this. In addition to appropriate signage, the info should be in the booking confirmation. The remote woman told us there used to be a sign. Oh dear, someone must have taken it, she said. But the info should not rely on something that can get stolen or lost. People should be informed ahead of time. Also, we checked out early as the guy below us was smoking on the patio. It stunk up our deck so we couldn't sit outside, plus we had to close the slider as you could smell the cigarettes in the condo. No smoking should apply both inside and outside.
Check in was fine. We had to stand there awhile before someone showed up on the screen.

United States of AmericaIt would be great if there were a couple of comfortable chairs to sit and relax in. The tall stools at the table aren’t really very comfortable. Maybe a low table with comfortable chairs instead? Also, unfortunately, the people staying below us were smokers so our early morning coffee ritual was ruined the second morning by cigarette smoke and marijuana smoke. Where we respect their right, it isn’t s smell we tolerate well. So we checked out early. It would be great if there was a no smoking on the decks/patios policy.
Close to the places we were spending time. Nestled in the trees. Loved the deck. Coffee out there in the morning was great!

United States of AmericaCode provided did not work. Patio door auto locks and we were all locked out and agency had to come let us back in. Code didn’t work for them either. Dead flowers in primary bedroom lead me to believe house was not cleaned prior to our arrival. Parking is not close to unit and garage (also a short walk away) is very small - would not fit Toyota Highlander. No place to hang anything in primary bedroom. No air conditioning. Price was too high to have this many challenges.
Location was very convenient for our planned activities. The grounds were beautiful and quiet.

United States of AmericaThe first interaction at check-in was less than friendly, and there was a lot of road construction going on. Created difficulty in getting around. Most eateries nearby were closed a lot.
The place was super nice and a great deal. Ni e and close to supermarket.

United States of AmericaJust a few minor things: there was almost no counter space in the bathroom. This is not a deal breaker at all, but would've been nice to have some more counter space. The pillows weren't too comfortable. They weren't terrible, but not that great, they could be updated.
Very nice lodge - nice room, kitchen, living room area with fireplace. Not over the top fancy, but overall very comfortable.

United States of Americamost everything except for one minor item, the wifi and tv volume. TV volume for regular television required to be at the highest level but still was not loud enough to hear. Using wifi (hulu, netflix, etc) volume was fine so its not the tv speakers. Wifi requires a password each day to get connected. This may be specific to this room only?
most everything was great. nice room overall. unfortunately most of the lake access was private and we couldn't visit the water nearby. If that was possible the overall stay would have been excellent.

United KingdomOur arrival did not go well as we arrived early and discovered the Reception was virtually manned which was not ideal - speaking to someone on a screen lacks warmth and understanding. After a 2 hour wait, we returned when advised, having done a grocery shop. The new Receptionist refused to allow me to put any of my frozen and chilled food in a fridge, whilst cleaning of our property was completed. She lacked any empathy and was poor at her job. It was difficult to access the beach in Incline Village as all the provate properties and hotels dominate the coastline. State beaches are about 4 miles away.
The property for 4 people was actually two separate one bedroom apartments which were beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The cleaners were delightful and very kind. There was also a communal hot tub. The properties are in a residential area, so about a mile's walk from the supermarket and the coastline. It was a quiet area.
