Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThis criticism is more for the booking.com listing. When you book the room, you are not told what room you are booking. There is one room with a jacuzzi tub - the Heartwood suite. During my booking, pictures of the jacuzzi were on the room I selected. Upon arrival, was kindly guided to the room with a jetted standard tub u couldn't comfortably lay in. This was extremely disappointing since the only reason I went there for was the jacuzzi.
The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was divine. Jay made French toast with eggs from the chickens in the back yard, freshly picked raspberries from the grounds and other seasonal fruits. The muffin and banana bread was also spectacular. The carpeting was quite soft and cushy on our feet and accommodations were immaculate. Shampoo, conditioner, soap and lotion were provided. Lots of artwork from local artists was displayed with the opportunity to purchase pieces if desired. There was plenty of parking and the grounds were beautiful.

United States of America"Baby toilets"...seems to be common in many places in the US for some reason. Very small, very round bowl (and we're not large people).
Great location, central to many amenities (restaurants, WalMart, Fuel, etc.). a good way back from the main road, so very quiet - we were able to sleep with the window open! Breakfast was freshly prepared and excellent - hot drinks available anytime. Hosts are charming and very knowledgeable about both the history of the location and the area, including local events and places of interest.

United States of AmericaWe booked this B&B because of the close-ish proximity to Letchworth State Park. Upon our arrival, we learned there'd been a cancelation and we were offered a room with a bigger bed. Hosts were friendly and communicative, breakfast was lovely, dinner recommendations were spot on (go to Ember!), and the surrounding gardens were pretty.

United States of AmericaThe facility is very tidy and clean, and we were treated very cordially . It is a very beautiful place with an interesting history. Super recommended for people who want to know a little about the area , and especially for those parents who, like me, have their kids at Suny Geneseo the place is located just minutes from the campus. .

United States of AmericaThe only thing we thought could be better is the shower. While it was clean and had amazing water pressure, it was small. The bathroom is large enough to have a larger shower/tub.
We loved the house, our room, the breakfast and all the other amenities. Being located next to a restaurant/bar was definitely a plus.
