Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The complimentary breakfast was awesome! Staff replenishes the food really fast and was patient in guiding guests on how to use the pancake machine. Location is great, short drive near to Bass Lake and 1-hour drive to Yosemite National Park South Entrance (less crowded).

- A very small eating area, everyone keeping bumping into each other, waiting lines were a norm to make waffles or toasts, people coming to eat sometimes had to wait for a table to sit down - Personnel at the reception was not always present in working times, we witnessed how guests who just arrived couldn't check-in as no one was there
+ Breakfast is great there, with many different options to choose from - scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, bread, cheese, jams, and more + Localisation is also great, a 30-60 minute drive to national park, the town itself also offers many stores, restaurants, little shops + The hotel is quite big, offering many rooms and with many parking places + Clean, comfortable rooms with coffee machines inside

Shower caulking was moldy. Shower handle fell off. Bathtub faucet dripping. No designated area for my dog to potty.

Didn't know about the $75.00 early check-in fee. Was a 1st for us. Just hung out elsewhere until 3. Don't show up early.

Great town. Many eateries, fast food chains, supermarkets available. Everything you need is in Oakhurst. Good stay for yosemite. 30 minutes drive from the hotel to south entrance yosemite - easily to visit mariposa grove. 1 hour and 15 minutes drive to yosemite valley. I have been comparing either to stay in mariposa or oakhurst, but actually you can just visit the small town of mariposa without staying there. Is only take you about 30min drive. The Hotel provides a good breakfast.

I wished the tvs were updated. I also wish the lighting was better. Very limited options, lights were a bit too bright. Also wished the AC was also updated.
I appreciated the room for what it was. It was a good room to stay in for a short trip.

Can hear neighbors using shower/their kids occasionally, but overall very quiet
Great location - 3 gas stations & 2 grocery stores within 5 min drive. 16 miles from south entrance of Yosemite Breakfast was great & front desk was very helpful extending my stay when booking.com wouldn’t work.

Everything was fine enjoyed our stay!
Late evening arrival 2 times and both times very friendly staff at front desk. Low season March trip, and were able to get great ground floor rooms and parked the car right by the room door. Clean room, great beds and good breakfast included. Very helpful lady at breakfast, i think her name is Diane, warmed up bacon on request. Good selection, waffles, toast, cereal, eggs, sausage, etc. Fridge and microwave in rooms. Great location and quiet. Hope to be back!

No elevator to 2nd floor. We arrived early and told if we wanted to check in would be 75 USD. If the room's available it is usual to be able to check in. If it's not, then o.k. we wait. Also thought too many single use plastic items especially at brekky.
Included continental style brekky was good and included eggs (Scrambled or boiled) as well as the usual. Liked the room size and v. comfy bed. Was reasonably close to south entrance to Yosemite which was our main reason for being here.
