The deposit, $295 has not been paid back yet. David said It would return to me autmatically after we checked out. It is only annoying. If It took while，he should say it.

The rooms are cozy and comfortable． The supermarket is at the basement，which is nice. The metro station is about 10 minutes walk away. It is not bad.

The apartment was clean and the heated pool was amazing. They had laundry soap available for us. Dave was awesome! He answered all our questions and even brought us extra towels . He met with us at the garage, directed us to our Parking spot, and even walked us up to our apartment. He is such a great host.

It was extremely pricey. Confusing layout of the building. We wanted to cook but realized the kitchen wasn't fully equipped. The bathroom door didn't lock. And they only gave us one key and one fob. (There were 4 of us, it would've been helpful to have one more set!)

This is an apartment building that lists unrented flats to travellers. You will run into tenants on the elevator and in the parking garage! I guess it's fun to pretend I lived in LA for a bit lol We had a car and they gave us a convenient parking spot near the elevator. But the walk from the elevator to the apartment was quite far! Also the layout of the building is confusing so it's easy to get lost. There are actually 2 buildings! Our room was 2-308. We bothered a tenant when we accidentally tried to get into 1-308. We had a 2 bedroom flat with a sofa bed that could sleep 6 people total. It's a quiet apartment and the internet was fast. The rooftop and pool was pretty but we hardly spent time there because it was too cold. There's a bargain supermarket downstairs (kind of like an Aldi's) which was SUPER AWESOME. This was our favorite part!

We wished there was a few chairs on the balcony to enjoy sitting outside but otherwise the start was very pleasant.

The location was great, safe and clean. Having the grocery store/starbucks in the same building was so convenient!

I had to get in touch to receive the refund of the deposit which was not returned as promised and took 13 days to credit my account. This imo should be a holding deposit and not actually debited from your account as per all the other places we stayed in our US trip The pull out sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and I ended up just sleeping on the sofa.

David was excellent, busy but always replied via what's app which suited me

The appartement is new, it was very clean and accessible in public transport (10min walk from the nearest metro) In the overall Dav took very good care ouf our arrival, the experience is positive. He had contact with us before our arrival, he provide very good directions to access to the appartement. The person was very helpuful !

Tiny complaint: kitchen knives totally blunt. More serious complaint: took WEEKS and many reminders to get deposit refunded when they state it's refunded automatically on check out. This was the only hiccup, everything else was super efficient and professionally done

Lovely apartment, David was super helpful, useful having a supermarket in the building and a Starbucks next door. Apartment has most everything you'd need

The location given was no. 618 S Bixel Street but to meet Henry at no.629. We could not find either 618 or 629. We did find 625, phoned the number given and David (not Henry) came to meet us. He took us to the apartment which was on a different street round the corner! This was confusing particularly as I had booked a return ride from the location given. No information in the apartment for appliances, details of the area, tours etc. The receptionist at the front desk knew nothing about the apartment or David. There was no lighting in the lounge area and only one small lamp in the bedroom. A broken window was covered by a picture. The bedroom blind was too thin, let in all the light. Nowhere to store luggage on check out. I asked for a later check out but got no reply.

Lovely modern, clean apartment, well equipped on the whole. Quite good location. Not too close to downtown area but within walking distance. Big washing machine and tumble dryer.

it was a great stay. we don't have much negative to stay - it's set back over the freeway, so it's important to head down the right streets.

For a family with younger children, the facilities were perfect. Plenty of space and kitchen facilities, along with a laundry. It's also well placed centrally in LA. Starbucks and supermarket are both downstairs. And we got great assistance from David, who met us with the keys.

Perhaps it’s just room 315, the shower pressure was too low and hence water flow was very weak, almost like a drip feed to have a warm shower and requires us to stand real close to the wall. This would be of a greater concern if guests are staying in winter season. The pull out sofa bed was broken and hence could not be used as a spare bed. The flat TV has a blue tint and cannot be adjusted and hard to watch.

There were some cooking utensils (pots and pans) but no baking tray, we didn’t think to look before buying groceries so this left us stuck. Lots of the lights don’t work, such as in the bedroom only the lamp works. I understand why there is another double bed in the lounge but a sofa bed would look better. I agree with other comments about a horrible smell in the corridors of the building, this is not the fault of the host and there is no bad smell in the apartment at all.

Location is good, metro, restaurants and shops all just a short walk away. We thought the gym was great and outdoor areas (including pool). Bed was very comfortable and there is lots of large storage spaces which was handy for us as we had lots of suitcases. Host was very helpful and responsive.

The kitchen sink was clogged, which was a minor inconvenience. The main issue we had was with the beds. They were very springy, which made for difficult sleep.

The location was excellent and having the Grocery Outlet connected to it made it super convenient. The rooftop was awesome! We loved going up there to relax and see the lights of the city. Everything was super clean. David was super communicative with us before and during our stay, which made things very easy.

We didn't get the room with the private balcony that was being displayed on the website and the hot tub that was mentioned wasn't there on the property. No cleaning supplies and laundry detergent for us. These are minor things that Will Not keep me from booking again.

My sister and I loved everything at Modern Apartment. The heated pool was very nice and the pool house was very entertaining. All the different rooftop sitting areas were well lit and comfortable with the city back drop. The fire pit is glorious 😍 and you can really feel the heat. Where it's located gives a Miami feel to it.

On the 2nd day, it was raining and the was a lick (roof) in the main bedroom closet - my shoes got wet and if we had not gotten back at the time that we did, my clothes which I needed for an invite the next day, would've been soaking wet too! The host was informed, maintenance came to check, put a bowl and said they'll be back the next day...

The apartment had a nice view, the location was great - with everything near by! Free parking...

Property wasn’t very clean, hallways smelled bad, the apartment over all was pretty dingy and needs some TLC. Building is not noise proof at all. Wasn’t ready for check in time.

Location was nice, near things like chipotle and Starbucks. Secure building. David was very helpful and nice.
