Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Front parking lot was kinda small. Seemed cluttered with all the cars. Bathroom was kind of out dated.
Location was good. Price was good. The staff was very friendly. Bed was comfortable.

The rooms were outdated, the rooms need to be renovated and refurbished. I didn't like contending with the roaches.
The location was convenient for shopping, the beach and various other places. The staff and personnel were very polite and professional, they kept the rooms very clean, day in and out.

The size of the room was good, the location was good also.
Parking was not the best. When we got in the room the air conditioning was lound.Had to get up through the night, not because I wanted to. Was awake from the heat, the A/C stop cooling I got up sweating my clothes was wet from sweat. I had to change and get out of the wet clothes. And lastly the room had roaches the worst kind. The small Germán one's the one's that don't stop breeding. When we notice that we were then all around trying to make sure they didn't get into our luggage or hand bags. Because if they got into it that meant that you would take them home to our homes. It's been proven that once they get in they are the most difficult kind or roach to get find of. Reason being they breeding so much, and live in any enviroment

It wasn’t much till we were cleaning up to go check out and we saw a roach just crawling on the wall. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable.
The lady when I checked in was very sweet and helpful. It did in fact smell clean when we walked in the room.

The hotel Manager is the worst. She is so rude and disrespectful. She screams at the guest with profanity, wakes you up by 10:45 in the morning and tells you to get out at exactly 11:00am. If you have not paid by 11:05 She will charge an extra fee. She doesn't value the online price for the hotel. She makes you pay an early check in fee if you want to extend even tho you are already staying at the hotel plus another deposit because she will not transfer your deposit. It was just an horrible experience.

I read the reviews before I booked and people complained about roach infestation. Unfortunately they were RIGHT. We even had one under the bed sheet and killed a few on the ground and walls. Fortunately I am used to that type of environment and you get what you pay for and I went for the price. Not a complaint but tried to find the beach on foot but kept running into "private property". I should have asked for directions, my fault.
Excellent location, eating places and grocery within walking distance. Clean and quiet neighbourhood. Bed sheets were clean, also bathroom facilities. AC was pleasant. One of the ladies (she has a key to the office) arranged transport for us to the port, much appreciated.

Rooms needed updating

The outside and pool area is looking old and needs work.

There were some small cockroaches in the bathroom, and the "clean" towels were stained and there was a lot of hair found on the clean towels.
Beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. Staff was friendly.
