Maybe it's a new thing since Covid, but room service was not automatic. In fact, the first (and only) time we asked, it was two men who made me feel like I had to bring my trash to them (which I did), and I had to ask if they would make the bed. Prices go up and service drops.

We had a beautiful view from our room, a comfortable and spacious space. Breakfast was good and had enough variety. We also appreciated having the breakfast time extended to10. The proximity to Trees of Mystery and various other Redwood Forest locations was terrific.

We did have a small leak from the fire sprinkler in the ceiling, but that was resolved quickly.

The bathroom was adequate, with a small tub and shower combination, but could use some updating. I would have preferred a walk-in shower.

The room was spacious and clean. The king bed was very comfortable with a medium firm mattress. The decor seemed dated but very functional. A large sink area in the living area was convenient. This was one of the few balcony rooms, which I appreciated and would recommend as a $10 upgrade if the weather is appropriate. The European-style breakfast was satisfying and served in a comfortable dining area. Since this is a fairly large hotel with an elevator, one detail I appreciated were the two luggage trolleys. Staff were efficient, helpful and friendly. Overall, this is a very well-run hotel.

The free so called breakfast was a bagel or cereal. Would use the elevator permit expired in September 2019. Beds are very comfortable but did the job

The rooms are large, spacious and clean, and ours had a lovely ocean view. The continental breakfast was standard(bagels, hard boiled eggs, cereal, etc). Staff was friendly upon check-in, and the location was next to a lovely walking path. Overall it was suitable to our needs.

The decor in the room and the entire hotel was a bit outdated. However, these items are not important to us for an overnight stay.

The room was very large. We liked the cleanliness and the fact that the room did not have the typical musty smell, which, unfortunately, so many older hotel rooms have. The price was great also. We would stay there again.

Squeaky floors, doors and walls allow sounds to travel from hallways and other rooms.

Front desk person was amazing!! So friendly, helpful and patient. I witnessed her call other hotels in the area to find a room for a person since there were no rooms available and they had booked for the wrong date. Room was large and comfortable. Good location.

Our room was very spacious, and comfortable. We enjoyed dinner at a local restaurant close by and enjoyed fresh red snapper fish and chips. Excellent.
