Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Parking is not very cheap. I would recommend parking at a nearby lot using SpotHero etc.
Great location! It's next to a lot of nice restaurants and bars and also attractions. Good value of the price considering its location. Very clean.

We stayed during a weekend so Saturday night was a bit loud with some guests coming back late night from parties, but Sunday was already nice and quiet so maybe we were just unlucky. But overall nothing to complain about.
Great central location if you want to visit Chicago. Room was good and clean. Staff was nice.

One note is that the doors are very loud. I could hear whenever anyone closed their door, as they tend to slam and echo in the hallway. So light sleepers should be aware of this and be prepared to bring earplugs!
Location and value were both great. The hotel is right downtown Chicago, and was so close to absolutely everything! I would definitely stay here again. Very walkable to the downtown core, plus the neighborhood right in the vicinity of the hotel is great.

Noisy and bright street (we stayed in a King suite, which was just above the front desk), and we had no control over the room temperature, so we had to call the front desk to chance the temperature multiple times - but they were very courteous and helpful each time.
Amazing location, comfortable beds, great restaurant downstairs. The staff was super helpful and courteous. The room was big and comfortable. There was a fridge and a microwave. It felt very safe and secure. The view of the city was awesome.

The shower in our room didn’t put out enough water to shower it was just dribbling.
Very secure and you can park on-site. Very clean and comfortable.

Had some problems with the air condition but the stuff also helped us with it. A kettle in the room would be nice.
Very simple but clean and comfortable motel in the heart of Chicago. For us, it was a typical american experience. The stuff was very helpful! We had some problems with loud neighbors but the stuff clarified this situation.

In the bedroom you will hear the sound of cars on the street during the night. It is not possible to adjust the temperature inside the bedroom. In my case it was very hot inside the bedroom and It was necessary to open the window.
The hotel is in a excellent location, near restaurants, Riverwalk, Eataly . The bedroom and bathroom was very clean. The fee to use the parking in cheaper than other hotels.

A bit noise at night but was Sant Patrick’s day I guess it’s normal, price to pay for being in a great central location.

You can hear everything from your room. They also started charging for parking. The lot was full when we arrived and cars are stacked next to each other.
