Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomUpstairs room did not have en-suite although bathroom was just for our use. Shower over bath with curtains on either side. Fitted Victorian vibe but prefer walk in shower. Coffee maker in room worked in evening but could not get it to work next morning. No hot water from 5pm but was hot next morning.
Good location near to lots of restaurants. Friendly relaxed feel. Drinks and snacks at 4pm. Good breakfast. Very comfortable bed and nice linens.

The location, the hospitality & the beautiful, quaint grounds are absolutely lovely. Loved everything about our stay. Loved happy hour and loved breakfast. I loved taking a stroll with my husband to the historic chapel down the street with a peaceful cemetery.

United States of AmericaIf we had known how huge the chili cheese souflees were, we would have shared. Other than that, we were super happy with breakfast.
Loved breakfast. Next time though we will ask for fruit and eggs, just simpler. Loved the location! The fruit was perfect and the scones were delicious. Loved that it was homemade and that the people cooking were so friendly.

United States of AmericaI was greeted with very warm hospitality when I arrived. I got great recommendations for dinner both nights and very comfortable accommodations. It is a very short walk to town, with the shopping and food. It is a short drive to the beach. I would book there again, the next time I stay in Cambria.

United States of AmericaDid not have any concerns.
The B&B was very well located and parking was not an issue. The innkeeper was gracious and accommodating. The room was well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The bedding was comfy and the pillows were perfect! The breakfast was very nice and ample. I particularly liked the small quiches and monte cristo bake! The staff was friendly and helpful.

United States of AmericaHave a portable heater in the front parlor that can be utilized on those cold evenings when hanging out in there.
We so enjoyed the quaintness of the house and grounds. The location was wonderful-right on the quiet edge of main street. Anne’s hospitality was excellent and she went beyond our expectations to make sure our time was special. We plan on staying there again.

United States of AmericaThe only thing I was not crazy about was the bathroom. Just dated and tight. The bathtub needs to be updated.
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the property. Everyone was kind and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. It was my first time staying at an B&B, it was a very nice time.

GermanyWith an old house comes some downsides like the bathtub had peeling paint, and you can hear everything all of the other guests do. There should be a sign reminding guests to be quiet when opening and closing doors, that was startling loud in the morning. The bathroom being across the hall wasn't so annoying for me, but my girlfriend wasn't happy about it.
The house is beautiful and charming, and just on the edge of a small town. The breakfast room is warm and sunny and the staff were very friendly. The little garden in the back was very quiet and pretty, too. You can get everything you need within a few minutes walk, too. The room and bed was more than we needed, and very cozy.

United States of AmericaOur room was nice but a bit “cozy” as one of us had to cautiously navigate one side of the bed between the window wall. It was doable, since we stayed for 1 night.
Breakfast was very good! Enjoyed the homemade scone, yogurt and granola. The monte cristo casserole was also yummy. The location is on the east end of town along Main St, it was a bit noisy in the evening with traffic, but wound down around 11pm.

AustraliaEnsuite across hallway - a minor inconvenience though
This quaint B&B was in central Cambria. A short stroll to restaurants and shops. The rooms were well equipped and the ensuite was across the hallway. Breakfast was included which was freshly prepared and tasty. Each evening there was a complimentary Happy hour with wine, dip and biscuits. They catered for gluten free too. Loved our stay and woukd do so again.

United States of AmericaNothing at all. Everything was lovely.
Very charming 2-story Victorian historical architecture property. The English gardens were enchanting and very well maintained. Our room was quite comfortable with every amenity one could desire (very luxurious bed linen, coffee maker in room, gas fireplace, bathrobes in closet, lovely upholstered chairs & bench for added place to sit/store bags or luggage. We had our own private bathroom with lovely clawfoot bathtub. The proprietors, Anna & John, were on site practically the entire day and were absolutely wonderful. They attended to all the guests’ needs which included a delicious gourmet breakfast each morning as well as a early evening happy hour providing wine & tasty appetizers on the lovely outdoor porch and gardens. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 day/night stay at the delightful Olallieberry Inn.

SpainThe private bathroom was down the hall and not attached to the room. So this was inconvenient, especially for a middle-of-the-night trip to the bathroom. Wifi was great the first day but didn’t work on the second floor on the second day of our stay.
The homemade breakfasts were amazing and the happy hour in the afternoon was lovely too. Location by downtown was convenient for walking to restaurants and shops. Staff members were very helpful. Special shout out to Mary, the daughter of the owners, for her great service to customers.
