The motif was spectacular, furnishings top notch, amenities were generous, location was terrific. Loved the coded locks for the property.

Sadly, gravity is real and I tripped on a rug (it was very thick and not taped down) on the wooden floor at the entrance and fell hard. I informed the property manager so he could fix it.

I loved how cozy it was even though my room was very big. Also, I am a school teacher so it was very charming to think about what it would have been like to teach in such an awesome building.

Older bathroom facilities.

Frank was fabulous and helpful. The property is historic and nicely renovated into a lodge. The bathroom situation is a little non-traditional with sinks being in the sleeping area and tiny, slightly outdated showers, but overall, a really cool place to stay and check out. I recommend it!

Was a little hard to find in the dark and due to road construction on Townsend, but well worth it!!

What a great place, very inviting and just so cool that it is an old school house. Host was very nice and responsive, easy to get in and out.. Wished we could have stayed longer!

Basket of goodies or downstairs hospitality area needs to have a corkscrew available! Also instant hot cereal to cook in microwave is nice but useless without mild in hand. With no staff on property guests are a bit stranded. Also need more clear info that room 9 was located ( and up 37 steep steps!). I was given wrong room number and walked in on a guest before I located proper room with help from another guest!

Nice room and especially the balcony. Appreciated basket of goodies. Very clean.

I attended grade school at Oak Grove. It was interesting to see the similarities between the two schools. Beautiful job remodeling school into an Airbnb.

Restocking of the coffee each morning. No other complaints.

Our rooms (each with a king size bed) were large and comfortable. The lodge is in a nice rural setting that is not too far from Montrose; in fact is closer to sightseeing destinations such as Ouray and Telluride. It has a lot of character from its history as a school. It would be great for a group needing 7-9 rooms such as a family reunion or wedding party.

The rooms are enormous and extremely well equipped. With the massive common area, it's a bit like renting a large house for the price of an ordinary hotel room.

The rooms were spacious, beds were good, the prepared breakfast was as expected and the hotel was in a very nice area. There is also a spacious common room.

Didn’t know services such as restaurants etc would be so far. Between the school house and Montrose there were 20 min waits due to construction

There was only one uncomfortable chair in the room. A loveseat or 2 comfortable chairs would make the experience even better.

Very unique, clean restored school house. Such a lovely idea! Bed was comfortable and we were provided with oatmeal packets and a basket of pastries for breakfast. Lots of space in room plus a large gathering area around the 9 rooms scattered around the 1st floor.. There was also an open porch in back of building with tables and chairs for relaxing outside. We had no contact with the staff other than the manager through friendly, informative messages. He was readily available if needed.

We were hoping to catch some Sunday football, but the tv was a Roku with streaming only. We were able to steam our Hulu account but we do not have any sports streaming service so no football.

Lovely old school converted into this lodge. Huge common room with ice maker & game tables and comfortable leather couches & chairs. Keyless entry meant we never did see the owner, but he was prompt with reply when we texted with questions. The room was spacious and the entire place was decorated with period pieces and modern conveniences. Bed was comfortable and shower was good.
